so i ran over a curb in my 90 hatch (i know im retarded) :( but anyhow, my front drivers wheel went flat. so i got new wheels tires, and then as i was putting them in, i discovered that my control arm was bent like crazy, and a little metal arm was snapped. :( anyhow, i went to pick your part and found all the parts i needed; a really kind man took the control arm off for me cause i didnt have the right size sockets. well, im trying to install the arm right now, but i cant figure out how to take off ONE bolt! its the one that attaches the control arm to the brakes/shock, and is held by a divot? pin. everything else is off, and now the control arm swings freely because of a ball joint that i cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove. PLEASE HELP!!! im stuck without a car :( thank you so much!! if youre in socal (fullerton area) and feel like helping a brother out ill even pay you! thanks

Pics? is it the lower ball joint on the control arm? if so hammer that bitch out. wedge something between the ball joint and the bottom shock tower and hammer away.

you kind of dont make sense

are you talking about the ball joint to the spindle?
if so take that cotter pin out, then remove the castle nut, it should drop the ball joint / control arm out of the spindle, you may need to bang the whore out if shes stuck a bit.

you might need a pickle fork for that part. Also once you break it loose be sure not to hammer it out on the threads, make the castle nut rise above the threads and hammer on that. Pretty easy, just go slow and use your brain.
