Just as the title states, like to fit a 275/35/18 Tire on a Nismo LMGT4 18x8.5 +25mm offset in the rear of my stockbody S13 chassis. I am curious if it will fit without any modifications to the fenders? Any help will be greatly appreciated....
Thank you for your time,

Why would you even want to? Do you like driving on beachballs?!?! Simple math on how badly itll bulge out. 8.5j = 217mm You want to run tires that are 275mm. These fuckers are 2 whole inch wider than what the rims are good for.
For crying out loud, im running 11js in the rear and im only running 265s. Widest tires I'd run with those 8.5js would be 235/40 18s.

Thanks for the input guys, not what I was looking for exactly...
I like to run a little buldge on my tires and I'm not looking to stretch my tires either. Also the wheel whore thread is useless as I dont want a flush or stretch look as well and just want to know if it will fit.....thanks anyways,

Shit, you can force it in there and see how it goes. But im telling you, not only itll look dumb as shit, itll also RIDE like utter shit. If you're stuck with those tires, you can probably get away with it in the rear, but wouldnt run that up front.

I work at Discount tire in San Antonio and i have agree on this. there is no reason for that size of a tire in the rear of your car.

Yeah he works at discount tire. "You should run 195/55/15. Thats the specs on your car. Or if you go 17x7 +40 you can run 215/45/17." Or at least this was the last advice I got from discount tire. Right now I am running G35 wheels which are 18x8 (+33 Ithink)with the michellin pilot sports again from a g35 which are 245/45/18. I am sticking in about and inch. Yeah 265 would be a little wide on that rim but not crazy. If it were me I would stick with either 245 or 255 max. 275 might work on 10" wide but not on 8.5 If your tire is too wide for the rim it might not seat

It will seat fine. They put 275s on 8" wheels over in domestic land pretty often. We have dbags on this forum running 205's on 10.5" wheels, but going bigger is suddenly crazy? What the christ.

this made me laugh
but stretch serves a purpose to clear fenders and such, i want to see picks of a 275 on a 8.5, im curious now how "interesting" it will look.

Running tires wide also has a purpose, not that that is what he is going for. Most of the people running retarded stretches don't need to be as extreme as they are anyway, so the purpose is lost.
The question was not if it was practical or asthetic, it is if it can happen. You'll find people are running 275/35/15's on stock 15x6 wheel Integra Type-R's for certain race classing (DS) because they still provide more grip no matter how buldged and feel reduced they are.

But thats the thing, running hoosiers for drag. Now if you run that setup for auto-x, fuck, i'd kill myself literally. Running 245/40 17s on an 8j rim feels this sloppy on my wife's Legnum, i dont even wanna imagine what the fuck 275s would feel like.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I really appreciate it. Just as "Chibo" stated I wanted to know if it would fit basically, as I'm using my 240 for auto-x and like to go up in tire size and keep my wheels as well.
I'm running LMGT4's all around 18x8.5 w/+25mm offset and wanted to run a 245/40 up front and 275/35 in the rear....
Thanks again,

why would you give him sizes of tires that dont relate to the wheel he is talkin about... obviously if he is askin about a certain wheel size, he prolly either a: has the wheels already, or b: is already set on gettin wheels that size

and like ray was saying, you will have a really sloppy feel going around turns with those beasts of tires... normally the stretched tire set up will give you better handling compared to something that has alot of tire roll...

Thanks again,
on a 18'' rim it may rub in the rear on a stock fender but dont quote me. it may fit but it will defently be a very tight fit meaning if you it a bump then it will rub.

Youre a fucking idiot. Whats so fan boy about something that folks are doing for a fucking reason? 90% of us fanboys who stretch tires do it to fit some aggressive, low offset rims. Some people do it and go above and beyond what it was intended for, ill give you that. But you dont have to be such a hater cuz you cant afford to run some decent wheel. Go enjoy your Rota wheels with a +30 offset.
Next time you use the word fanboy, you might wanna look into the mirror. How long have you owned an S-chassis? Have you been driving one of these cars before this whole mad dorifto shit blew the fuck up? So why are you driving an S-chassis? Oh yah are you a fucking fan boy too??? So STFU please...

Too bad you're wrong. The tire may feel sloppy, but it still provides more grip - which is why they do it in autocross/track. They actually wrote an article about this in Grassroots Motorsports and tested it, I'm too lazy to scan the article for this forum because no one actually gives a shit here - save for ten or twenty people and they already know. Tire stretching exists for fitting wheels that are too wide for your body setup, nothing else.
Hell, this is coming from someone with 235/40's on 9.5.
Guys, don't feed the trolls.

8.5 w/ 245 = grip
8.5 w/ 205 = drift
8.5 w/ 275 = drag (or death)
