The peerson wants $1500 obo. Thats about wha I wanted to spend, but there seems to be a lot of rust on this car. The side skirt area is pretty bad and the hatch itself. I dont want to jump into this and get a car that is gonna need way more work than is worth. Can I find these parts at salvage yards pretty easy? Let me know what you guys think I should do.

PASS. I traveled FAR for mine...but ZERO rust. It could use a pint job, but A)it is a 13 year old car and B)That florida sun will kill a car uncovered for that whole 13 years. Any type of significant rusts signifies POOR resale condition. I would pay no more than like 800 if you had to have that one. Keep your options open, but look more. It bothers me to see oxidation and discoloration on my body, but it would bug the **** out of me to see rust. Just my .02 cents

A little off-topic (sorry) but what's the difference between oxidation and rust? Is oxidation what leads to rust?
Did a search.. didn't turn up much besides oxidation isn't rust.

IIRC oxidation is the white stuff that you see on some cars, where the sun, heat, and water have done there work
