i recently got a fuel rail with injectors and swapped mine out as i thought one of my injectors might be clogged. when i go to start my car it runs real rough like 3 cylinders are firing. but the wierd thing is i can disconnect all 4 injectors and the car still runs! could my fuel regulator be bad? or can most of my injectors be all stuck open?

did you replace all the seals on the injectors inside the rail cuz it might have a leak just enought to keep the car runnin i had that same prob. but mine was way worst.:aw:

put the rail off the motor but leave the fuel liines on it and turn the car on so it primes the car and see if fuel come anywhere else besides the center of the injector if so you found yur prob. and replace all seals on the injectors all four cuz if one is bad all of them will go bad soon

Hahaha! Fuel injector leaks up the butt man.. Why would you disconnect the fuel injector harness and run the motor anyway?? Look up your FSM. The diagnostic is 5th grade level easy to read. Have some patients and read it. You'll see.
Injectors can't get stuck open unless current is constantly flowing through it. I'm sure your FPR is fine. You did make sure to reconnect the vacuum line that belongs to it, right?

i would vote just bad seals... autozone sells new o rings for cheap may as well try that first... after you run the car and turn it off will it start again? i had a leaky injector and it would flood my cylinder and the car wouldn't start for a while unless i unplugged it and cranked the car a few times... then i would fire up and die once it ran out of fuel in the rail.. then i would plug in all 4 injectors and it would fire right up...

i have the same problem with cylinders 3 and 4.
im running on only cylinders 1 and 2.
i get spark to all 4
and 3 and 4 are both flooded with fuel.
when i disconnect cylinder 1 or 2 pigtail the engine dies.
but when i disconnect cylinder 3 or 4 nothing changes...
WTF?!?!?!!?
someone please help!!!
ps i bought new fuel filter, injector o ring kit, new spark plugs, new wires, and fresh tune up and great compression to all four due to piston ring swap....oh and new MAF and new timing chain kit...

to be honest the sounding like a subaru topic has been covered if its not your injectors and you positive it isnt then check the seals on the them those fail to!!! havin the injector not fire cause its soaked with gas will give the same affect as if it was a malfuntioning injector!!
BUT DAMN HOW THE HELL DO YOU RUN A CAR WITHOUT INJECTORS?? OR HAVING THEM DISCONNECTED??
