I've always wondered this and have never found an answer. Anyone know if you can swap out lips on these things?

For the most part you can do that.
However, if the wheels are discontinued, more than often you will be ordering custom barrels.
A friend of mine did this a while back, ended up paying more for his rebuilt wheels, than he would have buying brandnew wheels in the same sizes he rebuilt them too.
In the end, unless you are really set on remaking an old school wheel, in which you cannot find new, or is not readily available new in the sizes you want, swapping faces/lips, is rarely economical from my experience.

What if they're meister s1's with weak widths that I'd like to turn into 9 and 9.5"s? :coold:

then sell them, and buy the ones you want.
99.9% of the time it's cheaper just to buy the wheels you want.

s1 2 piece are shrink fit and welded together, you're going to have to find some custom wheel maker to cut the centers out and find or make a whole new barrel to fit the centers into. costing just as much or more than brand new meisters.
