Replacing Rear Trans Seal Question

So I'm going to replace my rear trans seal today. Can i Just jack the back end of the car up way in the air so that the all the fluid flows away from the seal and replace it like that or will that not work and do i have to drain the tranny? any help appreciated.

Yep. jack it up real high, won't leak a drop.

lol, just drain the fluid and replace. probably needs it anyways.
