Asked Takakaira about the G-Grow bumper version II for the 180SX, but no reply after 2 weeks. Wondering if anyone know what material is the version II bumper made of? The part.# is TK6050. Here's the link, hope it works: http://www.takakaira.com/aerokits/aerokitindex.asp?sideon=sidemenu.asp?cat=4. It's about $89 more expensive than the FRP version. The one I'm talking about is $530. Thanks in advance.

Material is FRP. it is more expensive b/c it is more newer "agressive" design vs. Type I, therefore they feel that they can and should sell it for more. Actually, about a year ago, the Type I went down in price. So its more like the Type II is normal price and Type I has been on discount b/c it was an older, more stock OEM looking design. They are both FRP.

If you can notice, that is the TYPE II kit, similar to an OEM copy (Type I) but a little sharper more exaggerated lines. Made out of FRP. This is what the guy is talking about.

LOL.. right.. I can't read.. his link didn't work. So I went there, clicked NISSAN, and the g-grow.. there were 2 options.. regular, and type 2. MY GOD.. SO SORRY I didn't know that there is a difference b/w type 2 and version 2 with g-grow. You have to admit though.. the Type 2 is ugly as sin.
the version 2 is sweet, but doesn't really look that much different than the type I.. only thing that looks different to me, is it doesn't have the extra bars in the bumper.

the type 2 (I dont think its really called that OTHER than on takakaira's site) is FUGLY. But thats not what we are talking about:D :p . The Ver. II has like i said, more sharp lines and creases on the edges and the flares are a little more pronounced. So, its not that different than Type I, but its not that much more expensive, either.

Ah yea, I was talking about version II not type II, sorry about the confusion. And yes, type II is ugly as hell. I'm stupid, but not that stupid.
I still don't know what material is that more expensive version II made of though. Probably just get version I w/light kit then.

Dude, I stated it for you 2 times. Its FRP. The price increase is due to the slightly different design. Version I is more OEM replica, and Type II is more OEM-stylized replica.

But if you go to takakaira, there are two listed version II bumpers. One is part#TK6048, and the other is TK6050. 6048 has (FRP) next to it, but 6050 doesn't which I assume means that that part is not made of FRP.

It's not that I don't believe his words, but there really is two listed version II bumpers.
All of you here obviously have more knowledge than I do, so I apologize for sounding like an idiot. So sorry if I offended anyone and sorry for even asking about the G-grow kit in the first place.

The kit that has no (FRP) beside it is a ver. II bumper with light kit. They probably forgot to list that. Even though it is in Japanese (can get it translated at http://babelfish.altavista.com ) go to the G-Grow home site and see what they offer. Retail places are not always 100% correct, so going to the source is the best bet for any type of info, then order through the retail places (tll them exactly what you want, even if its not on their website. Anyway: www.g-grow.co.jp have fun...
