okay i've checked my front suspension thingy yesterday
it makes squeaking noises everytime i turned my steering wheels.
here's what i need to replace so far
T/C rods = gonna get one from kazama groubbuy
tie rod endlinks = gonna get one from PDM
i might get some new control arms from PDM too but im not sure yet
what do you guys suggest?
is there anything i missed?
i hate the squeaking sounds arrghh
its about time to do some modding to the car anyway hahaha (after a year of owning it)

no that should be everything
endlink
tc rod
lca
coilover
(yes our cars come w/ coilover from factory so dont say "its not a 'real' coilover)
also your springs might be squeaking too.
save your old lcas. good for backup for any accident or someone else..make your $$ back. might consider new bushings for them as well.
also i dont knw, can inner tie rods squeak or the steering rack?? hmmm. not sure on that.

LCA = lower control arm
Hmmmm... upper strut mounts can squeak, but I think thats usually more of a popping when they go bad.
The LCA wouldn't be the source of your squeaking but the ball joint attached to it might be.

Since your still using the stock springs (I think)
Push down on the front of the car real hard (may need a friends help), and listen for the squeak. Determine where it's comming from, and let us know where specifically, or generally, and we can help you better.
Could be a billion different things.
Aaron - I'm pretty sure our front OEM suspension is not coilover, as the spring is not situated around the strut. Our rear is though.

did that already
my front passenger side shock/spring does squeak a little bit
but the major squaking came from the steering rack some where down there in the brake assembly area
i think it might come from some rubber bushings but i dont know which one (too many squeaking sound.. and its loud too)
it makes sounds whenever i turn my steering wheel
there's also some popping sound whenever i turn hard but i think its because my busted bushings on my tc rods
im guessing i need new balljoint bushings for my lower arm control bar (or better yet.. just replace the whole arm with the new bushings).. well basically i think i need everything replaced :(

Don is awesome...but there is NO reason to buy those tie rod ends from him. The same thing can be purchased at any auto parts store.
Beck-Arnley is the same as Moog is the same as something else. They're all the same. And they all are better than stock (regreasable)

My friend's 240 had a squeaking coming from that area too, At first I thought it was his shocks because he was getting a bit too much body roll, but it turns out the bushing on bolt(?) that connects the swaybar/anitroll bar/stabalizer or whatever the hell its called to the lower control arm was completely shot. I overlooked it the first couple times, and now the bottom has completely fallen off. He has some extreme body roll now. :D
Just a thought for one more thing to check.

you sure? my friends 90 Fastback has a front stabalizer stock, and its base model, with hubcaps and all. Yours is a 91 correct?

It seems that stabalizers front and rear were standard across the board.

What class are you racing in? Do you care if you stay in that class?
If you want the car to have nice precise handling characteristcs, and don't care about classing, replace all those front rubber bushings. Pillowball t/c rods was one of the single most noticable changes to my front suspension. Plus it adds caster adjustment which is GREAT, more caster is always good. All the other stuff just cleans up slop.

matt : yea i know all 240 came with swaybars.. but unfortunately.. mine didnt come with the front swaybar.. the previous owner took it off and cant find it when he sold his car to me :(
sykikchimp: i running in DSP or SSM.. (my mood decides which one even though i should be running GS)
if i replace all of the bushings.. it means that i will be running in SM2 right? or not.. im not really sure
