not sure if i'm going to go

Humpday - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humpday)

"It's been a decade since Ben (Mark Duplass) and Andrew (Joshua Leonard) were the bad boys of their college campus. Ben has settled down and found a job, wife and home. Andrew took the alternate route as a vagabond artist, skipping the globe from Chiapas to Cambodia. When Andrew shows up unannounced on Ben's doorstep, they easily fall back into their old dynamic of macho one-upmanship. Late into the night at a wild party, the two find themselves locked in a mutual dare: to enter an amateur porn contest together. But what kind of boundary-breaking, envelope-pushing porn can two straight dudes make? After the booze and "big talk" run out, only one idea remains—they will have sex together...on camera. It's not gay; it's beyond gay. It's not porn; it's art. But how exactly will it work? And more importantly, who will tell Anna (Alycia Delmore), Ben's wife? Writer/director Lynn Shelton, director of My Effortless Brilliance and recipient of the Someone to Watch Award at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards, expertly mines the biggest ironies of the male ego to hilarious effect in this buddy movie gone wild. Rated R."

...also Bruno
....also i don't know if you guys knew this but Keith Ledger, before he was the joker, was in a "gay" porn called "brokeback mountain"

It's ok. It just means that just like there is a token black guy in every cast of white folks, now there will also be a token gay bro.

I keep seeing things for this movie on HDnet and saw a review of it. Apparently it's really good who knows.

I'll probably watch it.

If there's one thing Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church have taught me, it's that Saint Louis is a Cradle of Filth.

The nail that sticks above the corn fields gets hammered. By The Lord.

it is getting more commonly accepted in society.. it starts off with 2 guys having a small kiss here and there on a tv show.. til full blown sex scenes in movies a few years later haha i dunno... im jus sayin tho that more and more exposure is happening.

Yah, it is getting lots of positive reviews.
Got 75 on meta-critic.
Thanks to Busted's recommendation, I will check it out;

Humpday reviews at Metacritic.com (http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/humpday)

btw - it's not like there's any graphic sex scenes in there,
so i don't see what the fuss is all about.

the Godless at "Rotten Tomatoes" have amassed to a hellbound 79% positive.
Perhaps I will see this film so as to report it to my Klansmen. I mean church.

Any piece of cinema that openly shows homosexuality and/or acts of it will get positive reviews due to its 'groundbreaking' open-mindedness and for not being afraid to proudly cram a 'controversial' subject in the viewers' face/butt.

Well I will agree with the 'San Francisco Chronicle' having a VERY predictable set of preferences.

However, I think the whole gay humor thing is just more widely accepted & ppl in general are less homo-phobic today.
You don't necessarily have to be a gay or lesbian to appreciate whatever it is that happens to have the associated themes.
If anything, I am sometimes more shocked at how ppl make the gay stuff such a big deal.

I concur with Seth Rogen (or anything Judd Apatow for that matter),
but to each and their own.
humor is highly subjective.

No matter how you view it or what you want, gay culture is starting to be more and more acceptable. In 10~20 years it will be just as normal to be gay as it is straight. I only wonder how long til the president comes out to the country.

I mean the "dont ask, dont tell" policy is gone in the military. You cant even say the word "homo", or "fag" without getting an EO complaint. I mean im not a "gay basher" by any means, nor do I have a problem with gay people in general(other than two gay people adopting/having a child). I am very secure and love gay jokes. But being able to call your friend a "fag" is an unsaid rule. I dont want to have to wory about a damn EO complaint for being "un~PC", especially in the military....:ghey:

Oh well, just my two cents...(I hope I did not offend any :ghey: people)

This is true in the Mid-Midwest. Like all the tiny towns in the center of Missouri.

Nononono not Columbia. Columbia is big enough to be diverse. I mean all the little tiny towns of like sub-300 people between KC and STL.
