yeah, im glad i FINALLY got a hold of a 240. i never was quite done with the altima, but it has found a good home :)

you know i gotta ask this NEWB question...
So what kind of #'s am i looking at with this setup?

lol

it has no a/c :(

im about to upgrade the front to Z32 26mm rotors and Calipers along with steel braided brake lines-the current brakes suck!

#'s will depend on how much boost you're running.

welcome to the boards though.

Moving this to Chat since it isn't really a technical discussion.

Actually the stock brakes can be more than adequate as long as you have some stainless braided lines, and some good pads.

I second that.. I track my car a lot.. Pads make all the difference in the world.

But on the other hand.. 300zx brakes are SO D*MN CHEAP!!

EDIT: DOH forgot to welcome u!

WELCOME TO THE 240sx FAMILY.. We'll love you like a brother. If that means b1tch slapping you for doing something dumb, just remember it's out of love. :D

Have Fun!

NICE!

well, the reason why i chose the car is because it actually saved me TIME.

Show season is already in full swing, and i want to atleast make a few shows this year.

Full body work and conversion will start in a couple weeks :)

Agreed. Why are you gonna turn this potential beast into a carpet queen? Why are you asking what it'll run if your into the show scene? sorry, I'm just a little confused

Yes, me too, I understand exactly where you're coming from. :)

Fortunately, I'm here simply because I love cars and like to learn about them, so "Search" works fine for me.

Sizz, you had one of THE cleanest looking Altimas I have ever seen. I still visit altimas.net sometimes. Congrats on the 240. I went from 2nd gen Alty to a 240 as well.

no need to hope...these cars just have a ton more potential..i still love my altima..but how can it compare to a RWD, sr20det powered, drift machine..all for under 4K..;)

no doubt. that was one of the three things I looked at for my project when I sold the Alty

5 spd first and foremost

RWD

import prefferably a Nissan

hmmmm 240 or 300zx. $1100 bucks with a soon to come RB maybe 3000 more or $10000 bucks for a Z TT....gee wonder what
I would choose. The Z was my FIRST choice, but I couldnt handle the strain on the pocket adn I DID NOT want another car payment. I sold my Alty for thay reason

yeah my buddy has a 300zxTT and as much as i love the car and it's power...i just can't see the extra 10K he spent to build it being worth it...of course he'll smoke the sh it outta me..lol..but oh well..tough to control a 600hp drift...but man when he does...:D
