Last month we basically filled the lot, it was a blast!

Also, for those interested we are planning on doing a cruise through Ortega Canyon before the meet. The tentative cruise route can be found here. (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=1712+W.+Orangethorpe+Ave+Fullerton+CA+92833&daddr=CA-74%2FOrtega+Hwy+to:CA-91+W+to:1712+W.+Orangethorpe+Ave+Fullerton+CA+9283 3&geocode=%3BFQ6aAAId6k__-A%3BFQj2BAIdRiz--A%3B&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=33.680925,-117.708893&sspn=0.500532,1.07666&ie=UTF8&ll=33.693495,-117.652588&spn=0.500459,1.07666&t=h&z=10) For those of you that want to cruise we will be meeting at the parking lot across the street from Nick's at 3:30 and will leave at 4:00. We will be back in time for the meet to start at 6:30. For those that want to meet us on the cruise down by the mouth of Ortega Canyon, we will set up a meet point down there in the next day or two. A friend and I are going to drive the route tomorrow to make sure we aren't going to run into construction or anything and I will post further details at that point.

If anyone has any questions or needs to reach me, my cell is 714-322-2324 and my email is [email protected] I'll see you all there!

Here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=1712+W.+Orangethorpe+Ave+Fullerton+CA+92833&daddr=27416+Ortega+Hwy,+San+Juan+Capistrano+to:176 00+Collier+Ave.,+Suite+J195+Lake+Elsinore,+CA+9253 0+to:1712+W.+Orangethorpe+Ave+Fullerton+CA+92833&geocode=&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=33.504616,-117.652717&sspn=0.015674,0.033903&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=10) is the finalized route.

For those of you in North County we will meet in the large lot across the street from Nick's at 3:30p.m. We will be leaving promptly at 4:00p.m. We should be at the meet point in South County no later than 4:45p.m.(point B on the map).

The South County meet point is off of the 5 fwy and Ortega Highway. From the 5 south we will be exiting and turning left. From there we will continue on until we cross Rancho Viejo Rd. At this point we will be taking the next right into the Ortega Business Center. We will meet up with the South County group at this point and head through the canyon.

Once we get through the canyon we will be stopping at the Lake Elsinore Outlet Mall in the Pottery Barn parking lot to meet up before hitting the 15 fwy. The address for the Pottery Barn is (Point C on the map):

Lake Elsinore Outlets
17600 Collier Ave., Suite J195
Lake Elsinore, CA 92530

It is a large lot and we're just going to meet up there briefly before getting on the 15. We will then caravan together up the 15 back to the 91 all the way back up to Nick's. With any luck we should make it back just in time for the meet to start at 6:30p.m. I'll have directions printed out the day of to hand out to everyone. If anyone has any questions give me a call or hit me up on the thread here (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6264). See you Saturday!

I should be able to make this one. Don't know if I'll take my car this time. Clutch started to slip last night. More traction........somethings gotta give LOL. Almost five years of bashing on the stock clutch.

LOL, how much is a new clutch going to set you back?

anywhere from 500-1500 depends on whether I want to go dual disk or not. My budget side says no, but my common sense say yes because of the power I'm looking to make.

I think I would definitely save up and go with the twin disk. In the long run I think it'll be worth it for what you want to do.

Remind me again, what are your power goals? What's the next step?

I personally love the way your car is now, but more power is always better :)

Put down ~450 daily on pump, no matter how much lbs of boost just as long as its on pump. And 500+ on race gas or methanol. Haven't decided yet but I'm leaning heavily towards methanol.

Sounds like a monster. Have you thought about running E85 instead of doing methanol?

I've considered it but its way over rated. Yes it has higher resistance to detonation BUT what people arent' to honest about is the amount of ethanol you need to run. Lets just say to produce 500hp on ethanol I would consume X% more fuel and by fuel I mean ethanol. To run gasoline and methanol mix consumes about X% less fuel to produce the same results. The cost of the excess ethanol in considerably more if you drive on a consistent basis. I drive quite a bit so its not cost effective for me.

Thanks again to everyone for coming. We had about 20 cars on the cruise total this month. For the most part it was great except we got stuck behind a lady on Ortega that REFUSED to move over. Still fun regardless though. Here is the first cut of video (http://www.motorgen.com//vid/showphoto.php/photo/1019) of all of us getting on the 15 fwy (all going the speed limit of course).

The meet was also great. We managed to fill the lot again. At least 50 cars. Here is a link to the pictures (here (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29114&postcount=14), here (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29115&postcount=15) and here (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29116&postcount=16)) and here (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6524) is a link to the video discussion thread.

The next meet is on September 12th. I'm kicking around the idea of moving it to a bigger lot because we're pretty much filling up Nick's at this point. If anyone has any suggestions (and I've already got a couple) please let me know. Thanks again!!
