so i drove my car yesterday, and it drove fine, except it died after 2 minutes, i got a new used dizzy today because my cps was fried and now the car sounds like its running on 3 cylinders(cant confirm that it is though) then, i messed with the spark plug wires a little bit, and now all it does is backfire when i try to start it.
should i take back the dizzy or does it sound like something else??

1342 is firing order.
1 is top left ish... and go COUNTER CLOCKWISE and redo firing order.
if its not that get a NEW NEW cap and rotor.
if you didnt pull dizzy out. DONT. dont move it at all . .lol
pm me if you need.

i got the firing order fine, and the cap and rotor are pretty new, i bought them from autozone like 2 months ago.
i already pulled the dizzy out and replaced it, is that where i went wrong? is there a certain way to do it? cuz i just pulled it out and stuck the new one in

yes it matters. unless you magically restabbed the distributor exactly the way it came out, you fucked up your spark timing. since it actually runs, it sounds like you're one tooth off where it should be.

Maybe you have a dead injector, try disconnecting the inj plugs.

OK, so what was it?
the timing was horribly off, i stuck a chopstick in the #1 spark plug hole, took off the dizzy cap so i could look at the rotor, looked at the timing marks on the crank pulley, took off the valve cover(took forever to get back on) and i matched them all up as close as i can, then i put it all back together, then i did it 3 more times, it finally started, so i turned the dizzy and it ran worse so i turned it the other way all the way and its perfect
