I have decided to sell one of my RX-7's and although I regret having to sell it I don't have much time to enjoy it these days. In addition, don't have indoor storage for the car anymore--too many other projects. I would not hesitate to drive this car across country tomorrow and what a fun trip it would be.
Since this is the GSL-SE it has the 13B fuel injected engine. 108k miles--all original. Starts with half a turn of the key. Never overheated or rebuilt. 5 speed, p/w, cc, A/C, am/fm cassette. I purchased this car from the original owner in Dallas, Tx. in June of 2007 w/ 95k miles on it. It was garage kept all of its life until June of 2007 and sporadically since then. It does not smoke or burn oil and has no leaks anywhere. No rust—wheel wells and undercarriage completely cleaned. Comes with both sunroofs and sunroof bag. Clear title. Runs and drives very strong.
Price is negotiable: $5,500 obo. 2k in recent maintenance and parts. I have kept a logbook with all gas receipts as well as the receipts for work performed and parts bought.
Within the last thousand miles:
New Tokico HP struts
New front Mazda springs and spacers
Rotors turned and new brake pads all 4 corners
Wheel bearings re-packed
New 4 gauge custom made battery cables
New Interstate battery
New Mazda power window switches
New Mazda driver’s side weather-stripping (passenger side replaced 2yrs ago)
New Falken tires all 4 corners
New fan belts
Steering box adjusted
In addition:
New Mazda radiator hoses replaced in 2008
Transmission and differential gear oil replaced with Mobil 1 synthetic
NGK plugs and NGK plug wires
Oil changes at 2500 with Mazda oil filter
Mazda air filter
Previous owner replaced the following in 2007 at time of purchase:
New Mazda hatch struts, A/C recharge, engine compression check--between 8.0 and 9.4 across both rotors (3 readings per rotor).
