Alright I have got a sr20det redtop swapped into my s13 240sx, I am running a FMIC, PEAKBOOST TOP MOUNT, T28, 720CC'S, Z32 MAF, POWERFC.

Some problems I am encountering are the datalogger plugged into power fc keeps freezing while trying to run program while car is going, My idle is loopy and even after toning down injector duties it continues to run rich. When I try to drive the car sometimes its fun but most all the time it will start bucking and run unreal rich(9afrs)

Another problem as of late is the rpm needle will die as if its got a faulty ground but all grounds are good in the engine bay.

Car has no boost leaks, no exhaust leaks, o2 sensor is good and maf is good.

Pick a problem any problem,
Thanks

sounds like u have alot added to ur sr20. why not take advantage of the power fc and get it tuned by someone that knows how to do pfc units. i got mines done professionally and was it WORTH IT!

+1...no point of having a PFC and dataloggit if you dont know how to tune it. If I were in your shoes, I'd shoot Steve Shadows up. Since you have dataloggit, you can email him what you got and he'd shoot you a map to run. Run the map, loggit again, shoot it to him to double check that its good.

What would be the cause and best place to start looking for something that would make my rpm tach look like the needle dies but then jumps back up.

I came across this plug... off the ecu the red/white wire is pin 105 (fuel pressure control module) I've got a Aeromotive FPR thought so I am not sure.

it's normal for the commander to freeze when youre logging. you can have the dataloggit plugged in and working but as soon as you hit log "start" the commander freezes. theres nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

but it does sound like some wiring was hacked up.. i would go over everything with a fine tooth comb to be on the safe side (which it looks you are trying.. +1 for you instead of "waa whats wrong with my car" like everyone else.)

Thank you!
Unfortunately wiring and such just doesn't click with me therefore I have a terrible time with it.

Here are the stray wires I am finding off ecu plug.

PIN 105 RED/WHITE - FUEL PRESSURE CONTROL MODULE
PIN 7 GRN/BLK - RX DATA (SIGNAL FROM NISSAN CONSULT HAND TERMINAL)
PIN 14 GRN/WHITE - CLK CLOCK (TIMING SIGNAL)
PIN 15 GREEN - TX DATA ( SIGNAL TO NISSAN CONSULT HAND TERMINAL )
PIN 23 GRN/RED - CHECK START
PIN 24 MONITOR CHECK LAMP

im pretty sure none of those will have any effect on driveability.

did the richness problem just come about all of a sudden? or was the car never tuned?
have you tried pulling fuel from the map?

does it drive fine cruising / boosting?

is your bov recirced?
is your IACV clean?

I just finished up all the swap and then got it tuned by a friend, maf was changed to the z32 maf and bigger injectors accounted for. It was still running stupid rich so fuel kept getting pulled yet no difference. AFR's at idle were 9-10s, noticed that the MAF pigtail the pins were pretty loose inside so I replaced it and now the car is running stupid lean (16-17s at idle). SOOO I am thinkin that the MAF was never even registered the entire time and now that its working all the fuel that got pulled is taking affect.

I cleaned the IACV when motor was stripped down and BOV is recirced and I am yet to take the car in boost.

I will be getting my friend to retune the car within the next few days so I hope that that was the problem.

Thanks Ansky for your input!
