give your s14 to me, i'll solve your problems for you.. and take better care of that thing too, by not installing a trendy antenna on it

lol I glued mine onto my S13. It had a broken power antenna so I stuffed it with foil, glued a nut at the top, and screwed the antenna on. After a year, it still hasn't come off.

I wouldn't say negative, just impatient. I don't blame him.
Even I'm tired of threads like this.

If you want something on your car, take the time to fuck around with it to work.
It's an antenna, not a rocket ship.

bingo

some people just dont have the fucking know-how when it comes to doing certain things, which is fine....... but please, save the baby inquiries for ANOTHER fucking forum.

for instance, what if i made a thread entitled "hey guys, how do i fill my car up with gas?" or... "how do i put air in my tires" or... "how the fuck do i wipe this asshole of mine?"

if life is just too challenging and you cant seem to install a fucking *OEM* antenna, then please.. pay someone to modify your car for you. asking for advice on a forum isnt going to help. no one has the power to help you learn the absolute basics of car modding over the internet.

this is why shops exist, and why people pay other people money to do work that they cannot do.

someone did help him though; so this thread can be closed b/c someone actually answered his question.

haha,

to our dear retarded OP..... the reception is supposedly 75% if you buy a good aftermarket antenna. so you must not have

im just curious what method he used to attach this antenna properly.. because without having a conductive surface leading to the antenna (ie NOT GLUE), the shit wont work well

Only way to make it work properly is to buy the s2000 base that the antanna screws into thats what I did...

that's what i was thinking but that gets expensive.

I merely just found an attachment sleeve that will screw onto the bottom of the antenna then cut off a bolt off and screwed it into the sleeve then into the base.

As far as the reception goes i guess its what you can expect from a honda part and i do not exactly live in the city.

hey i got a suggestion for you

1) buy the honda base, baller. thats why we modify cars, to be baller.
2) machine an adaptor, that way the unit is conductive and will transmit the signal to your head unit
3) install an OEM power unit... yeah........ i know

so many options!

When I used to have a radio I got mine from
www.locustom.com, supplyer of custom antennas and EMS systems (http://www.locustom.com)

worked OK.
