So i recently trailored my car to a local drift event after not realy driving it for the whole winter/spring months due to moving and a few motor upgrades and it sarted acting super weird. When I start the car my volt gauge shows 11 volts but as soon as I blip the throttle it goes up to 14 volts??? wich Is good! I can drive the car all day but as soon as a light is activated(headlight/tail/brake) my volts drop to like 9 ? Does this sound like a bad circuit in my wiring or can my alternator not take any load from those accesories? I went over all the grounds and they seem clean and good. I also diconnected the battery while it was running and it didnt stall or anything.

id get your battery tested just to be sure its not that. Also, is your alternator grounded? Theres a black wire that comes out of the harness that attaches to a screw hole in the back of the alternator. My alternator went bad recently and unfortunately it took my Braille with it. One thing I noticed was that when I would brake (at night) my gauge cluster would dim, and would get brighter when i rev'd the engine.

I bought a new battery and alternator and shes been good to me ever since :)
