so help me find out what was the cause of my random no start last night. I went to start my s14 with stock ka nothing and my hazards were flashing without the button being pressed. I had full interior and exterior electronics working. no start not even a starter click. i tired jumping it nothing. so then i tired push starting it. the car fired right up. i let it run for about 15mins. starts up no problem now... any ideas? very low battery power? short? starter?

with the hazards flashing it makes me think of some kind of passive anti-theft. Not sure if s14 has something like that though. Maybe somebody will chime in that knows.

You have an aftermarket alarm system in your car. It was somehow activated and now your car will not start untill it is de-activated. You will have to get under the dash and COMPLETELY remove the entire alarm system and wiring. Simply removing the fuses and the brain is not enough as every so often the start interrupt relay will activate for apparently no reason and the car won't start again. I have had this happen to me persoanlly before and have seen it happen to others countless times. Do what I say and remove the alarm completely. Don't argue or question, just trust me. Removing the alarm wiring is really pretty easy. You will only have to splice one wire back together, the main start signal wire. The rest of the alarm wiring removal should be as simple as cutting it out and taping any exposed wire up.
