Ok, so I want to get rid of my electrical moon roof and install a manual sunroof off a hatch.
I want to do this because I'm tired of all the space it takes up and water that seeps through, and it would be nice to still have the opening but without the clutter of the motor.
Can I just take the manual sun roof off a hatch and install it on a coupe? Also, what about the HEADLINER, can I just take that off a hatch and install it on a coupe?
I have searched but can't seem to find anyone that has done this.

You must not know a thing about roofs, period. Nor have you ever looked at both.
To begin, there is no carpet on the roof. Carpet in found on the floor. A headliner is found on the roof. And no, the headliner is not the same between coupe and fastback.
Now the important part. A sliding sunroof sits in it's own tray, bolted to the roof's sheetmetal and sealed to it at the edges. It drains from all four corners through hoses.
A pop-up roof does not have a tray, the sheetmetal has an indention the glass sits into and is part of the actual skin. You would have to cut the majority of the skin off a fastback in order to get what you need, then weld it in place after cutting the opening out to fit on your coupe. You'd then find that contour of the roof is different and you'd have a weird bulge.
What would be easier, especially for someone clearly uninformed, is to remove the sliding sunroof assembly completely. Buy an aftermarket pop-up roof larger than the current opening, trim the roof out to fit, then screw it in. Just like if you were adding a pop-up roof to a car without anything in it, you just have to verify the opening isn't already too big.

Thanks I appreciate that info.. good to know this stuff before I go over my head. I might just find a way to seal up the water leak and call it a day.
