well after 3 days of work I got my car going agian, this time with turbo. Thus begins my great test of the KA internals, all stock if anyone doesnt know. Im running at a nice 5 PSI with my tial wastegate. my little t3 doesnt kick all that hard but spools up darn fast its fun and draws alot of attnetion... this could be good or bad. But after my years of saving up and slowly working on it, my KA is turbo.
Now I just have to figure out if I want to auto X my escort or my s13 tommorow.

Congrats man! You're welcome, also.

Finally.. what did you end up using on your kit? Post it up.

I live in constant fear that all DIY turbo setups will fail from some small quirk.... so PLEASE be careful with it and make sure you get all the kinks out!!!!
Nice to have another KAt on the "block" though. Get us some pics and info on the setup!

How did you get SR20DET intercooler pipes to work? That would save me a whole ass-load of work.

Well they are off of an S14 SR and they work on my s13 fine so Id guess they'd work on a s14 fine too. Ill attach a pic, its not of my car but its the same idea. If you want me to show tell you PM me. Kinda like the pic.

Hey.. can you get more SR20 piping pics? And an intercooler shot? Also, the sr20det hotpipe.. did that work? I wouldn't think so, but let me know.
My AIM is sleek s14 ... hit me up if you have aim, cuz I have some questions.
Thanks!

Dang it! You bastard! :)
You got there before I did.
I've been really busy the last two weeks so yesterday was the only day I had this whole time to work on the car. I got the wiring underneath done, slave cylinder bled, half the exhaust bolted up, as well as the brakes torqued/changed/bled. Frightening thing is my car actually fell off the jackstands because of the uneven sidewalk. I can't tell if anything broke by looking =( Hopefully today I can finish up wiring the inside, hooking up the engine bay, and who knows what'll happen. hehhehheh.
Oh yeah, I forgot I never got back to you on the engine-if your friend is interested, please let him know he's more than welcome to it. I'll go for this calaveras county PO box you-know-what procedure.

Did you have to modify the SR piping in anyway to make it fit?How good (in your opinion of course) does it fit? And finally Is it cheaper than custom making your own intercooler piping? I imagine that the direct fit, would make it worth the money though. oh ya, congrats on your success, and good luck.

Yea. And where did you get the pipe from? I'm really confused here.
Drifties.. that pic isn't of his car (he stated so), and that bov looks like an Eclipse/Bosch unit.

I thought I had posted that those werent pics of my car. Ace is right they are jeff mcneils hes the one who sold me the SR pipes. He gave me the idea on how to make the SR pipes work. They run in the same maner his pipes run. I had an auto X yesterday, didnt get to race the s13 (stupid escort) and havnt had a chance to take pics of my car yet. Ill post pics as soon as I can. But if you know what McNiels car looks like you can get the idea of what mines like.
Put it like this, all you need is SR IC pipes and $30 worth of stuff from local hardware store and you have IC pipes for a KA. Ill get pics.
