go sr if your looking for a fun car, but there well lot of work some times and u might find your self walking and bumming rides every once in a while,
if u go with a re build, it will be a nice stock, safe, slow.. car lol
good luck man

If you dont care about ref tickets or police or spending lots of money, then go for the SR20det for the win, but if your looking for something to be reliable and thatll only be some money here and there and that is street legal then rebuild it or save the money for a KA24de.

stick with the ka, not worth the hassle from cops down in cali... expecially when your state has no money :P

What's wrong with being married with kids and going SR? SR's are really not all that expensive. If you're too broke to go SR, then you're probably too broke to rebuild anyways.

i hava a kade and im going to buy a reuild kit from ams.. i am saving money for that and probably i am going to buy from amsperformance.com... so my opinion is:
buy a kade and rebuild it or get low mileage SR
that's my .05 cents :D

not so much the money - i figure the older you are the more 'toys' you can have... its just its not worth it in socal, i think. i mean my 4 year old rides with me alot in my car. last thing i need is torrance's finest pulling me over and giving me a fixit ticket or worst impounding my car.

wow i have an sr and i've never had any problems. although i did spend a litttle more money and had Smoothlinez in El Monte, CA source a clean low kilometer front clip, added some etxtras like a koyo radiator, and i've had it for the last 2 years no problem. i did lose about a day changing the clutch but that was because i didn't get the heavy duty exedy stage 2 from the begining. I am very happy with my sr. as for the ref tickets, don't get a fart can muffler, and don't live in the areas of town that have street racing problems....
