it's like 5$ a can of aircraft stripper at advanced autoparts....

If i stripped it would i have to repaint them or theyll come back to the original color?

if its legit chrome you wont be using paint stripper or any other chemical to remove it. either reverse chroming process which just as much as chroming or taking the chrome and spending many hours with a air sander.
