View Full Version : S14 Low Beam headlight did not work despite a replacement of Light Switch

My drivers side low beam headlight did not work except on high beam.
Just changed and replaced with another used light switch
Can someone please tell me what to check, or replace. Thanks a lot.

i had the same problem with my s13 i took the switch apart and it turns out one of the copper contacts were corroded and i cleaned it and it worked fine now did you try checking the wiring maby one of the connections are loose or you have a short somewhere

is it easy to disassemble, and clean it?
what did u use to clean? water n soap?
how do I check power/?

Test both headlight switches. Pull out the wiring diagram for the headlight switch in the FSM. It tells you which pins are connected at different positions of the switch.

Use a multimeter to test for continuity between the pins specified for low-beam operation. Go on from there.

S14 headlight switches are not exactly the same, but all Japanese headlight switches operate on the same principle.

HAHA...he made a funny!!! Lets clean an electrical connection with soap and water. You should clean your whole engine bay with soap and water...:bowrofl:
