Not related to this topic ,but i NEED some attention too.

Many people see my car, the first thing they ask is: how much you got for your rims.
I said: $878 including tires.
They said: damn, i'll pay $1000 for your rims.
I said: dude, 17"x7.5 +35 with 215
17"x8.5 +27 with 235
TE37 with S-02 tires straight from Japan
I paid $1000 shipped. So...NOPE!!
One of my friend said: I'll trade my RX7 with full body kit with your Sr20 S14.
I said: no thanks.

So you mean Eibach Sports, is the ride really rough?

id actually like to see a side view of it. and ill agree, your car IS getting nicer. too bad its mostly due to aaron and lindsay telling you what to do.

You are a good example of what sam owner of Jspec.com said:

"most 240SX guys are not ready for lowoff, streched tire over wide wheel and camber setup"

Well it was something like that

Nope! Nothing to do with aaron. What have I done that aaron told me to do? I always shoot ideas that I myself thought about doing and may talk to aaron to get specifics. And who is Lindsay?

Sam at JSPEC has a completely different purpose for his car.

I like to MAXIMIZE traction.. I am a grip driver.. 205's on a 9" wide wheel does not equal maximum available grip. It equals razor sharp response, at the cost of reducing maximum possible grip. I'm "Not ready" because it doesn't serve my purpose AT ALL.

When are you gonna actually go to a drift event with Aaron, and Sam, etc and put that car to use?

Soon as I am ready. Got a few more things to fix and find a cheap helmet.

Arai = $$$$

Bell is about as cheap as they get, and they have a fairly generic feel, so just about anyone can wear them comfortably.

G-Force makes some nice cheap helmets too.

Remember, going cheap on a "Brain bucket" isn't necessarily the smartest idea. Fit is #1 priority, price should be #2

sykikchimp, have you tried drifting before? just curious. hope your not like tnord, knocking before trying
but i do understand the different setup
ddi some grip driving yesterday at the track, the tires were set up for (nor the rest of the car) but i had a blast. since i know how to drift and how tocontrol when the back came out gripping still had good/ok tractionto keep going and not freak out.its good to know drift just for 'no-freaking out' puposes as many drivers do. anyways, just curious man

yeah nitekids will be soon. im trying to get him to get his helmet soon so at least he can hitch rides at the track with us! :)

side view`

DuffMan
04-20-2003, 12:36 PM
isnt there a point where the sidewall is angled out so much that it looses its stiffness again. I would think straight sidewalls would work best, but then again I could be wrong because I've never driven a cars with tires that thin relative to the wheel.

NiteKids

Theses pics were more to demostrate the 15 offset then the the style of the rim. Streched sidewall, wide rim super flush with the body look so mean! :D

04-20-2003, 05:57 PM
lol, i meant like the whole car, to see what it looks like with 2 different sets of rims. but nice.
