Waste of $ IMO. Ill buy a CHEAP radar but nothing else. Its nice to know whe your getting pulled over but there arent any out there that will warn you in time to get out of one. I remember talking on the phone with my friend that had a V1, all I could hear was it going off the whole time. At least it has high resell value on Ebay if you ever want to sell it ;)

well using a cobra in tx helped alot, hear in va you can get early detection due to reflection off of other vehicles, its tougher on the back roads or police that use pulse systems, which arent very accurate in their readings
but your right if its crap and bothers me i see them all the time used on ebay for like 350
i guess we will see:D

My friends have 1. It works pretty well in warning us ahead of cops ahead when we are crusing on 66 and 495, but it is true that is has a lot of "false alarms". But if u speed alot and need some warning, get it, just kinda pricey.

yea i have one and it works damn good on the freeway but in the city its no good. When im especially in the D.C. downtown area its no good. On the beltway or on 495 its a charm!
If anyone doubts the usefullness of a V1, go talk to some supra owners. While no radar detector is better than using your own eyes (like a responsible driver), the V1 is the best of the best. Only thing that is comparable is the K40.
