I see them. I say WHAT THE F in my head. I move on.

I'm pretty sure the people that construct these things probably can't rent a big truck (for one reason or another).

that's probably the scrap metal guys. i know i've had to dodge countless ladders and other shit that, despite their mad tyte tetris skills, fall off the truck unbeknownst to them.

i usually see those trucks around the 405 and 710 and in the neighborhoods on trash day but i have yet to see one of those pulled over for unsecured load. i got pulled over once a while back just because i had my surfboards strapped to the roof of my s14 and the chp officer just "wanted to make sure it wouldn't fly off into traffic."

but in this economy, you really can't knock someone's hustle to make a few extra bucks the honest, hard working way instead of stealing or robbing. just wish they would not drive on the freeways with their overladen vehicles.

true.

like bums collecting aluminum cans, they helping clean up.. and you dont usually see them litter or throwing trash, they have a lil respect. They just look horrible when you see them and we look down upon them.

I tell my friends to change the lane when we are behind shit like that.

Forgot to mention back in the days, a truck was ahead of me and my friend. This truck had lifting weights and shit on the back, and what did you know? the weight comes flying from his trunk, and went ''POW!'' into my friend's CL. That guy did not have any kind of paper; my friend was pissed! But he got his info and stuff, got everything taken care of.

well couple of years ago those self employed metal recyclers stole my brothers bike, and our desk! lol. we were moving one afternoon, and made the mistake of not bring our shit in fast enough i guess. they swooped by and took it all.

i can only guess. as a neighbor described the kind of truck who picked it up.

07-23-2009, 01:58 PM
I also see shit like this often off the 60 fwy... How do these people get away with driving trucks like this. Here we are getting fucked in the a-hole for having shiny stainless exhaust or what not on our cars that dont really hurt people and getting fined or getting in trouble.... on the other hand we have these dumb freaken idiots driving in the fwy's with a whole bunch of shit hanging out that can or have cause crazy accidents and damaging cars and I never seen them got pulled over. Come on

coww-cho!!!!!
07-23-2009, 02:10 PM
haha a lot of the times these people come in small ass trucks that had there truck beds exactly the way on the pic around my neighborhood asking for anything metal so they can make money off of it and im sure they do and it can be anything thats metal.
we had an old bed frame that has wood front and back but had metal rails and they took that shit apart just for the rails

we should get in on this guys lol

Obstruction of rear view... safety hazard. You can't even fill your SUV to the brim on the inside if you can't see the back, unless you leave a little cut-out LOL. (Side mirrors don't count)

Incorrect. As long as you have both side mirrors, you don't need to see out the back.

Ever seen vans with no rear windows? Chopped-top kustoms and lead sleds with no rear windows? 100% legal in California.

Getting a license is easy as fuck in california.

Citizen or not.

You don't even need to know or speak english.

And if you can't read, that's cool.

Because they have tapes you can listen to and take the test that way.

Most of the tires you always see around the LA freeways are those puny trucks where the weight isn't enough for the weak sidewalls and threadless tires. And Most of the time the tires are bought from those used tire places around the downtown exits and they rip the beads a lot hahaha
