Okay how can you tell the difference between the Brian Crower stage 2 cams and the stock cams for a ka? Do the Brian crower cams have any markings on them at all? Should the BC cams have the same little three digit number or what ever it is that's on the stock cams? If i held the two cams side by side and looked down them would i be able to tell any difference in the size/angle of the lobes or anything like that? Just wanting to make sure the cams, valves, valve springs, and retainers i just got are all brian crower like they are suppose to be.

The cam lobes should be noticable bigger in size on the BC cams.

I am not going to speak about every BC cam that was manufactured but I know mine had these markings.....

Just curious, why are you asking? Did you buy some used that look like stock cams? Post up pics and maybe we can help out.

I traded an s13 shell that i had for a bunch of stuff and some of the things that i got in the trade are BC stage 2 cams, valves, valve springs, and retainers. And to me they look stock so i just want to make sure that they are what they are suppose to be. Because if they are not what they are suppose to be then obvioulsy the guy that traded them to me for my car is going to be needing to either give me some other parts and shit of a good but of dough to make up for the value of the Brian Crower stuff. Actually what would i be able to sell that BC stuff for? If they are brian crower that is. They have roughly 300-500 miles on them and are still in great shape tho.

They would go for around 200-220 dollars if they are used. No one will pay more than that for BC cams. I sold mine for 220 shipped. They were used with a few thousand miles on them.

you "once heard"? Thats a lot info to back up your statement. My powerband completely changed after changing to BC. Even changing from BC to JWT, the powerband changed a little. The BC stage 2 and JWT c1 cams both are 12mm lift and 264 duration but design of cam is different.

the older cams didnt have the part #s engraved on them... I've actually got a set (contained in a single box) - that only the ex had the engraving on them.

The first few sets for sr's and the first set of KA ones didnt have any markings on that part of th ecam at all.. just smooth.

"I once heard" turns into fact pretty quick on forums.

Okay so would you guys say that the cams are more then likely stock if they look almost identical to the stock cam i have? I mean i doubt the BC cam would like exactly like the stock one. I'm sure if you laid them side by side you could tell the difference with them just laying beside each other. Also the valves that i have, the top of the valve has like a little symbol on it that looks like it would be the outline of the nissan emblem. I'm assuming that would mean that they are also the factory valves?
I'm just pretty pissed off because I wanted to use the BC cam and valves, springs, and retainers on the head of my ka-t motor to make some more power. And now I'm just going to have to get something else from the guy to make up for it. But what I wanted was the BC shit. Obviously, because that's the reason I made the trade. He wants to give me a toolbox to make up for the cams and i don't know what im going to get to make up for the valves and shit yet.
Oh, also, how much would I be able to sell the valves, valve springs, and retainers for? That way I know how much value I need to get stuff to make up for from the guy. Thanks to everyone for the help so far..

Stand one BC and one stock on end. Look down the shaft. If the lobes are the same , you got screwed.
It will be easily noticeable the difference between the two if you have BC.
