I picked it up last sat. and got tags on her today! Its a '92 forest green type color with 189000 miles, power options, sunroof. I payed 750 for it, wich i think is a good deal. click for pics (http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b33b91bc0554)
Shes a little rough around the edges, but shell make a great project car. We named her "project blitzkrieg"
I also ordered my red-top sr20 today that will be ariving in 4 weeks(4 weks too long:( ), along with some other goodies:
blitz boost controller
blitz BOV & hotpipe
blitz front mount intercooler
walbro 255 lph fuel pump
and spec stace 2 clutch kit
After that i would like to get some body work done then next on the list:
blitz nur-spec exaust
Apexi Super AFC Air Fuel Controller
NX N-tercooler kit
Then a little while down the road will come new paint, maybee body kit, and rims. I would like to keep it as much as a sleeper as possible for now though.
Any oppinions welcome.
THANKS

yea the best part about that is.....theres no filter box! The air filter is held to to top of the air box with ace bandage!

Ouch. Holy cancer, Batman. I'd check out the undercarraige before getting carried away in modding. I personally wouldn't want a 300hp rustbucket.

That hole is crazy!! How would something like that get there. All I can say is...... GOOD LUCK!!:D

The hole really isnt that bad, i just hella zoomed in on it. It will be fixed easily by cutting out around the rust and filling in with fiberglass.

isn't that part of the body structural since 240's are unit body(where the rust whole is)?

all you would have to is borrow a dremel or similar device and clean the area around the hole. go to any local machine shop and youll probably be able to find a pice of 1/6" and some one to weld it on for like $50 during a lunch break or something, it it would be stronger than the original sectioon

yea that was plan #2 i have a dremel and a welder to do it myself so it would be free. I'm saving a ton of cash by doin everything myself, and with the help of friends. Except paint, i have a sprayer but i'm not sure how well i would do with it.

Looks like the person that had it before you had "big plans" but little talent. Not to worry tho, because bondo will fix everything. IMO I would concentrate on getting her cleaned up and fixing all of the brain farts the previous owner had.;)

Then off to Maaco I go for the "Ambassador" special. $199 bucks later you have a semi-clean car that you don't mind modding

Congrats on the purchase, I wish I got mine and be as lucky as to get one for $750. Looks like you got the engine part done.

I wonder does anyone know if it is a good thing to get the engine swap right away? Would the car be able to handle the engine without upgrading its suspension? Anyone run into this.

I am planning the route of suspension then engine whenever I get mines because of this. But when the time comes I know I will be SR envy. Just wondering the best way to go about it.

yea it is a good idea to do some suspesion work after a swap. I'm just not gonna do it right away, i'll get to it sometime, prolly in the winter months when i cant drive it.:(

I had my swap w/ stock suspension with no problems. he1l I even took the car to VIR and ran it around the track for a weekend...and had a blast. FYI- The suspension won't blow up or anything you'll be fine;)

I got a loan for 6 g's. Ive spent around 5500 on motor, parts and car, so i think ive done pretty good. i could have saved a couple bucks by getting the parts off ebay, or shopping around, but i just decided to get everything from heavy throttle, including sr.
