have you ever pulled a motor at pick and pull?

i haven't but it looks like a lot of work on your back in the gravel with whatever tools they let you bring inside and their large engine puller thing.

they'll probably charge $200 for the engine and $100 for the tranny and you can sell it for around $300-400. totally not worth it. haha

OP, did you see any coupe with stock rear bumpers? i could use a replacement, mine is starting chip and oxidize and look ugly.

Not to mention $25 to use their hoist. And you don't even know if it runs or not. Usually, if the car's exterior isn't damaged, the engine is bad. If it is hit or rear ended, engine may be good.

that's weird logic. one would think the opposite would be more likely.

i've pulled a busted tranny from pick and pull once. what a pain in the ass that was. then i installed it on my car and it didn't work, so i had to uninstall it. so much time, blood, and sweat wasted.

i only try to look for non-mechanical items now.

Nah that's pretty good logic. If the car's exterior isn't bad then chances are it's in the junkyard because the engine died. If the car's exterior is busted up then the engine might still be good, and it's in the yard because the owner didn't want to deal with fixing the body damage.
