GUYYYYYZ onyl a few of us know, there is only 2 Single Turbo Z32's out there. one of em is now wrecked / done and the other one is nowhere to be seen on the net now in days.

I sold my Stock Turbos, and from the wreck all My AC stuff got owned. that leaves me with no Twins and a big empty spot in my engine bay. I've been thinking about it and I'm curious about a Single Turbo Z32.

if I went single turbo, I will rock a Holset for Spool and Power Purposes, I already have the Nistune EMS and Nismo 555cc INjectors, all Manifolds, Piping, Intercooler and so on would be made custom by yours truly. I just can't seem to make up my mind in eithe getting a set of Twins Custom Made, and make my set up plug and Play ish. or just go waste some time and money and fab up a single turbo kit for the "unique" Factor.

I seen the thread on the Atlanta Guy, I don't like his set up in my Opinion it looks like ass. Mine will be much cleaner

I know about Joel I'm Thinking of Making my set up similar to his, exept a little more spool friendly. and Just Surge the fuckin Turbo No Blow off valves lol I do plan to street the car at about 14 - 16 psi. and then turn up the boost for the track maby 20ish psi.

if you go single are you going to have like a rear mount turbo? like weld up the manifolds and flange it near the diff kind of? or somewhere back there ??

no I would to a wrap around manifold on one side, and put the turbo where the AC compressor used to be, plumb the intercooler to a Veritcal Flow FMIC, one inlet two outlets, then plumbt them into the stock throttle bodies,.

don't really matter I'll take my time and do it right, Im doing all the custom fab work anyway so thats saves allot most / all th emoney that gets spent will go towards the turbo and metal to make parts/ I got all the other supporting mods.

There's a thread on 300zx club, complete with video of a guy that did it. T61 I believe too. Wicked fast. Lemme find it for you.

EDIT: T70 is what he ran. Here's the link:
http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=98085&highlight=single+turbo

And video:

Did the manifold Z31 style. Single end tank on one side, twin end tank on the other to split into the two throttle bodies. Sucks the pictures are down.

Single.

TQ of a V6, with spool of a straight 6. Win win. That single vert was amazing. The sound was glorious.

maybe take some ideas from the z31 single turbo possible if some parts are interchangeable or just get an idea on how to mount it on a dual cam vg and stuff it in that crammed engine bay.
