I know this question has gone around a few times but I need opinions.

I have a Apexi N1 with 3 in. piping with 4 in. tip. The resonators got cut out by the last person that had it so it's a straight pipe from the cat-back. So it's loud, too loud for me and my neighborhood.
On wed my parents were nice to me and told me to get myself something to fix it that was less than $100.

I when ahead and bought this without thinking from summit.
MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/universalsatinxl.asp)
MagnaFlow 13219 - MagnaFlow XL 3 Chamber Mufflers – SummitRacing.com (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-13219/)

I was wondering would that work. Or what else is out there that will quiet down my exhaust? i had a Magnaflow resonator (straight-through round one) and a Magnaflow muffler at one point. it was a nice tone and not obscenely loud.
i'm about to do a new exhaust, 2.25" piping with an Apexi WS2, and i'm also looking for a good resonator. i'm leaning towards a chambered one this time, as I really want to keep volume down, since there's no real way to put in a silencer on this muffler. i'm thinking about going with one of the 3 chamber Magnaflows, like you listed. probably a round one for clearance... but it'd be good to see a cutaway of one....
THE HUNT IS ON!

Kool. I was looking at by next year to have a new exhaust. Go get summit they have nice prices. I'm research more.
Here's some more info stuff.

MagnaFlow XL (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/universalsatinxl.asp) and supposedly Summit Turbo (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-630130/) are like this.

yeah... the thing is, on a round one with center/center exits, how can it be like that? i'd like to see a round one sawed in half. hmm

There are none that are center/center. The one i have a center/offset. I'll shoot pic with the one i have. You'll understand.

I honestly thinking about that. Or at least something along those lines.

yuh huh. hey only make them in 3" though...

MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=8172)

they do make a round offset kind though... i think that's what i'm going to go with. chambered obviously won't flow as openly as a straight-through, but being a little/lot quieter should be worth it...

gonna get this:
MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=8176)

full exhaust will be ebay header/test pipe/2.25" piping/that/apexi ws2
hot

I had a 2.5 off the header no cat straight to magnaflow canister exhaust on my Kade and it was pretty mean sounding. Not obnoxious by any means.

I had a 3" off the header to a flowmaster mufffler then into an aspec canister, that shit was super angry and obnoxious most of the time.

Dont know if that helps. lol.

Um... wurd. I didn't see that one lol.

Did you look at the summit (http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Exhaust/Section/Mufflers-Resonators/Brand/Summit/Outlet-Quantity/Single/Inlet-Diameter-in/2-250-in/Internal-Construction/Turbo-style/?Ns=Price%7CAsc)stuff? There really cheap.

If you had some sounds clip it'd really help. But thanks for chiming in.

I had the muffler shop install an extra resonator when they did my exhaust.

It helps, but not a lot.

The cannister shape/design and piping diameter are much more important in determing noise levels.

There is something you can put in your exhaust that lowers it by 10db. Its for open header situations.

resonator (http://www.roadraceengineering.com/exhaustparts.htm)

My 3in has one of thier 18" louvered core resonators, no muffler. Car isnt as loud and cleaner sounding (till the wastegate opens and dumps out the pass. fender)
