I know you can use the stock-size oil filter with the Greddy relocation kit, but I've also read you can use a Corolla GTS filter, or something like that. Does anyone have a part number?

Or is it only intended to use with the stock filter?

Thanks in advance.

just go to your local autoshop and get a corolla filter... usually they have a book out that says all the parts numbers of the filters they have in the shop..

i've used a bosch corolla filter and the recommended greddy filter on mine without any issues.

It says GTS, so I'm guessing 86.

What's the difference with the corolla filter? Is it smaller?

If I had to guess I'd say the Corolla filter is bigger. I hope it is, more filtration capacity. The stock filter fits with maybe 1/8 or 3/16 inch around it on the relocation block, so there's room for a bigger-diameter filter.

Thanks for the p/n above.

Based on some research with a Purolator application guide and a Mobil 1 application guide, the filter for the SR and for the Corolla GTS is the same.

Heh.

I use a bosch 86 corolla gts filter on mine. Its a little shorter and wider than the ka oil filters.

i always used greddy oil filters. but i think this time around im gonna get an oil block adaptor and run the HAMP oil filters for hondas. it increases oil pressure from what i have read in the forums.

^^dead wrong, the hamp filter's terribly, and for years and years its been proven increased oil filter size will increase pressure and prevent oil pressure spikes/surges. Honda people now get the S2000 filter for the increased pressure.

You want the biggest oil filter you can fit. measure the surface area of the gasket mating size on the greddy adaptor, and if its ALOT bigger than the OE filter, get a PL3001

Go with the pureone, nothing else.
