Hey, I wanted to see if anyone on here can help me out or offer advice on the topic.

I recently obtained a really nicely built S14 with SR and tons of work. It runs perfectly and is the fastest car that I've ever owned or driven.

Now, my problem is this: I can't help but want to rip the thing all day long. Yeah, it sounds very silly to some people but honestly, I'm terrified I'm going to get nailed by the cops, another car, a pole...

You see, I've been in trouble MANY times when I was younger with driving too stupidly. I'm freaking 28 years old and I feel like I'm 18 again: young, dumb, and full of cum. I'm a damn Insurance Professional and I advise people EVERYDAY on the pratfalls of driving like an idiot.

So if anyone who is like me who dreamed for years about owning their first turbo'd motor and finally got it...you might know how it is to want to tear ass down the road.

Any tips or advice not be a dumb retard on the street?

Lower it. As in 'slammed' low. You will be the most careful driver in town.

Slam it and hit the track

a... slammed cars.. you so busy watching the road you can;t beat on it

b..... once you go to the track, beating on the streets is like trying to jerk your wiener in class.

true, slam it, save gas, drive slow, cruise. i got an RB25 in my hatch, trust me, everytime i see a vette or something with some balls i wanna rip at em too but, i look at my gas gauge and it helps me not do it.

haha. everyone has good point but the OP needs to just grow up a little. self control will be beneficial in more than one aspect of your life

you will get bored of it soon.. after awhile a fast car doesnt feel fast anymore..

but since my bmw got stolen 2 weeks ago.. so i have no dd right now.. i been driving my 10sec kouki around on the streets.. i always want to hit the gas man.. but i cant... cause ill end up 2 lanes over on the freeway  scary on street tires..!:hyper:

have fun with the car on open strights, when there is no cars around..

or go to some industrials areas at night, and do some passing like i do..

Strech your tires and dump the car. All of the west coast will think it looks awesome and you'd have to drive like a granny.

Agreed, self control. let it loost at the track. If that won't help a few tickets and fines will calm you down. Or that tree will, hopefully not the latter.

My advice is keep on doing what you're doing... Once you get popped or crash like I did, you'll learn your lesson.. I know I did...you gotta learn the hard way sometimes.

sell it, buy a prius

either that or seriously mature up. Just because you have guns doesn't mean go everywhere blazing.

I agree with what everyone is saying (except to sell it!). Like I said before, I have indeed learned the hard way about crashing cars, tickets, and more serious offenses (from the time I was 18 to 21 I totalled 3 cars and amassed about 10 tickets in one form or another). When I talk to clients I tell them that there isn't anything that they could do behind a wheel that I haven't done already! It sucks, and yes, I've learned from it. A few years back a guy that I talked to a lot about his policies with my office (about my age) was involved in a terrible auto accident. One day him and I were going on about his MR2 and the tuning shop he was friendly with , and the next day his father was calling to tell us that he was in critical condition. Life is too damn precious.

Wasn't it Spiderman's uncle who said "with great power comes great responsibility"? I have to tell myself that everyday.

I think that it is a good idea to save on gas because this beast only gets like 14 mph (at least my last gas-up)! I'm glad to see so many people on this forum who truely appreciate the value of driving conservatively on the open road and rip-it on the track!

I think once I get my S13 coupe back in better running shape I'll drive that more to and from work since it has better milage and doesn't move nearly as fast with the KA as my S14 does.

unplug the line to your wastegate...if you're not responsible, you'll break it...

I don't know what kind of cars you've totalled, but I had a Mustang Cobra that my friend totalled and that didn't hurt nearly as bad as the day I lost my S14... I fucking cried when I saw her being taken away on the tow truck.

Seriously.

Just grow up.

I know it feels nice to "let the motor" rip but seriously its retarded.

Go to the track. Done deal.

I was with this girl and this s2k comes up beside me on the freeway trying to go me into racing him. The girl was like well aren't gonna race him? I said nope that shit is retarded.

And it really is.

put on some narrow and small tire and you will feel you are going fast in legal speed.

honestly, just do self control ..... you are 28 and you can do it

or just get pulled over. you wont want to speed after a huge ticket.

Just drive normal, what's so hard about that? I always think of the consequences that can happen, like when someone tries to race me, or if I want to step on the gas just to get a kick; I just laugh and cruise!

07-17-2009, 01:51 AM
i learned my lesson after getting hit with a few tickets. i'm too scared to get any more tickets and can't afford it. my car is slammed too so makes me careful not to do anything crazy and gas is too much damn money. haha i think the main reason i don't speed is b/c i don't have the money to afford the consequences and gas. lol. damn i'd be scared to think what i would do if i had arabbb moneeyyy.
