First I wanted to get a s13 fastback. I preferred the styling of the FB over the coupe. I liked the taillights and the roof line better. But now, the s13 silvia coupe is starting to grow on me. So I'd have to get the front end conv. and the engine conv. and I would have a silvia. Right?

what does eveyone else prefer?

No. You'll never have a Silvia. And you'd need to go RHD to get closer to a Silvia.. not to mention brakes, steering wheel, floormats, door sills, and a plethora of other stuff.

What does everyone else prefer? 2 answers here. 1) It's your car, so who cares? or 2) Look in the Polls section.. there was a vote for car style in there.

I can make up my own mind, I was just wondering what everyone else likes. Just curious. Guees I'll have to see if I run into a coupe or a hatch in the pricerange I'm looking for.

So besides all the little things, with the front end conv, will the coupe look like a silvia from the outside?

my opinion: 240sx COUPE with kouki 180sx bumper :D

no, it wont look like a silvia. because if i see it stateside, it will be a 240sx (very rare to see a imported silvia-most never will see the real thing stateside)

the headlights will :D ricers and retarded people will prolly not know the difference anyway. If you are looking to compare them back to back, go to the S13 gallery (http://www.zilvia.net/photo/showgallery.php?cat=501) on this site. Its got pics of 240's with the silvia conversion, real Silvia's, 180sx's etc etc......

so what would be the diferences then? I looked through all the pics but I'm not sure how to tell the diff between the 240 coupe with silvia front and the real s13 silvia.

If it's RHD with an SR, they essentially are the same thing. The point is, though, that you bought a "240sx" and you can never change that. It will still always be designated a 240sx and it's pointless to call it anything but that.

a real silvia is sold in Japan, it is RHD, and comes w/ a SR20DE or SR20DET (or CA)

also interior as Jeff240sx mentioned is quite different too

also Silvias are RHD, so thats another way to tell.

this is the bottom line:

no matter what 240sx you have, it is a 240sx. it is not, and never will be a silvia

you can call it a silvia and badge it up but you'll always have a 240sx. be proud of that.

well, it'll never be a silvia - but i think we can all look past it and answer the damn question... right?

i drive an S14 - it's a coupe (duh)

of the s 13s, i personally dig coupes, if they have the front end swap, i prefer th enon-projectors, but i like both front ends

lol. he could legally change his name, and people would have to call him "Silvia". Of course, the car is a diff story.

Biggest diff. I'd say is the Silvia has different bracing and frame support (from what I've heard).

I call my car an S14... it could be a 240sx, 2.4SX, Silvia, Marcy, or SuperDoriftoThroughOffsetSlalomCar. It's all good. (My best friend has dubbed his car "Edith Head")

As for the Q: Coupe with the a Silvia front end, mostly for reasons dealing with weight.

I know of only one person in the states with a real Silvia. He just moved back and tore his car apart and shipped it back piece by piece.

Thanx for the people that answered the question.

And for everyone else I apologize for thinking I may have something that resembles a Silvia in America.

Now I think I'm leaning more towards the coupe. But who knows. BTW what is the difference in weight between the HB and the coupe?

So can anyone actually tell us what EXTERIOR COSMETIC changes are needed for a 240SX Coupe to look similar to a Silvia? I don't mean right hand drive.. I mean like front bumper, headlights, stuff like that.

How different are the interiors?
