datsun 510 question

i was wondering about the three body styles i know theres the box flare and than the stock body with a little lip i was wondering about the one thats kinda flared out if thats a certain year or do you pull the fender yourself or what?

AFAIK, you're talking about the fender lips. I'm pretty sure they all came with a small flare in the fender unless you get overfenders of some kind.

I'll assume you're asking about BRE style flares or "bubble" flares.

Search google for "BRE Datsun 510" and you should get a lot of hits.

yeah the BRE style is the one im thinking of so how would i go about getting them?

Check out classicdatsun.com. You should find what you're looking for there. The sell the front and rear BRE style flares.

You see them on Craigslist sometimes...ebay as well...and on the random datsun/510 forums...just shop around...

The front fender flares (BRE, or bubble flares or whatever u wana call them) are the FULL fenders...u just bolt them up..

For the rears you gota have a body shop fab them up...or i think they have bolt on flares tooo? i cant member, i personally dont like flares too much so i never really looked into it alot on my 510.

Box flare is just a wide body kit for the 510....

Keep in mind that all of these flares will only work on 2 doors....you CAN get flares on a 4 door or wagon...but it requires alot of modification and in reality to get it to look right u will have to basically make your own flares by cutting them off of another car (i think some people use some off a VW of some sort and then just cut and weld onto your 510..)

Basically if your trying to run buuble flares get a 2 door...save yourself the headache...
