so apparently the theory is that an underwater earthquake rattled these squid and caused them to wash up on la jolla shores in san diego.

could this be a foreshadowing of the 2nd coming of el nino?

thank you for enlightening me. i seriously thought that it was some kind of freak occurence in the ocean currents.

i know now also thanks to this: El Niño-Southern Oscillation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Ni%C3%B1o-Southern_Oscillation)

however, i've read somewhere that it can get much worse the next time it comes. i'll have to google for that article. can't recall what it was named.
