First post whhoooo. But anyway, I just bought my first 240. I'm having a hard time starting it, so after investigation the spark plugs need to be changed, and it could be the coils. These spark plugs seem to be completely wrong. From what ive researched with 12psi of boost, which is what I have, I need a gap from .030-.040. I've called just about everywhere around here and can't find anything that would work bc its a jdm motor. Is the stanza compareable when I buy spark plugs? I am a noob but please help. Tell me what you use, where you get it, what brand is the best( NGK?). Help appreciated

Before everyone else jumps down your throat for not searching, search before asking common quesions that have been answered 1000 times. I'm sure you could google it and get your question answered.
I use NGK BKR7E-11, fuck iridiums it's a waste of money. Copper FTW.

Yea I know about the whole researching thing haha. Well i talked to a guy that does alot of turbo cars and he suggested strongly against iridium and told me to go for platinum, only thing, NGK doesnt have the plats available. I figured why not ask the biggest s-chasis site on the web about it.
Sorry guys!

I could care less about searching, I know the search function is basically useless.
Anyway, I'd just go for the coppers. I can tell you from personal experience that coppers work just fine on 600+ HP and 1.8bar of boost.

yeah, you should go for the copper.
oddly enough, my friend is having the same problem as you with his s13 SR20, maybe if he figures it out he can help.

Wow. I dont know anyone that uses platinum plugs in the SR.
It's either iridiums or ngk v-power.
@ 12psi, I say go for the BKR7E-11 gapped at .028

If you're gonna gap it down to .028 then just get the BKR7ES or BKR7EY, gap on those is .028 or .7mm the -11 means it has 1.1mm gap. I've had no problems running 1.1 @ 15psi.

ES is the standard tip, EY is the "V-power" tip that has the little groove in it.

They make NGK BKR8E's, just harder to find.

For 8's and 9's you might have to step up from coppers, I haven't seen coppers in those heat ranges(I'm not saying they don't exist).
The part number basically stays the same though, just the ending changes.
For example:
-BKR7ES = 14mm thread size, projected tip, resistor type, 7 heat range, 19mm thread reach, standard(copper) 2.5 mm electrode
-BKR7EIX = 14mm thread size, projected tip, resistor type, 7 heat range, 19mm thread reach, iridium electrode
