I searched and was only able to find info in regards to the gay ass USDM kouki headlights.
What size are the projectors on the JDM kouki headlights.
I want to do a retrofit over winter with the best possible fitting HID's.
I would take mine out, but I don't exactly have the time to take them apart and wire them back in. (Hard wired in at the moment)
Sorry if it's been covered but I couldn't find the info I am looking for on the JDM projectors...

You probably wont find it, most folks who have done USDM projectors used S2K projectors or BMW 3 series. I know the JDM ones are slightly larger tho, but probably not enough to make it that much noticeable.

just buy projector fog lights and custom make a kouki headlight for super bright blinding projectors lol

Yea op you probably would be better off just usdm kouki lights.

I thought the jdm ones were slightly smaller... anyways head over to hidplanet.com and search a few threads. There's a few different ways to do it

Yeah, you should be retrofitting projectors that are made for HIDs if you are going to retrofit anything.
Or am I reading this wrong? You have JDM headlights and want to take those larger projectors out and retrofit some real HID projectors in. I'd say get some TL projectors because they're the biggest ones I know of, the S2000 ones are super tiny. Search TL projectors, they should be about the same size as the JDM kouki ones.

JDM projectors are bigger than the USDM projectors.
I put 6K HIDs in my JDM ones and love it. No need to do the retrofit for me since the cut off is pretty good IMO.

Cuttoff in jdm projectors are projecting into oncoming traffic which IMO is not a good cutoff.

You can always open and up and mill the cut off flat and adjust the headlight so the cut off wont be blinding in coming traffic.
Thats what I did out here, Im running TSX HIDs so the cut off blinds on coming traffic.

Yea I've heard about people doing that too. Whatever works. I just retrofitted tsx projectors into my silvia headlights and I can see much more of the road now than when I put brighter bulbs into the stock low beam projectors.

fx35/45's would be a good choice as well as the TL, both are bi-xenon and around the same size with a real nice cutoff.

Is the 04+ S2000 projectors the only ones that will fit in a USDM Kouki headlight? That's the only write-up I can find for the USDM headlight. I haven't seen any write-ups on the TSX/TL. I can't find any 04+ S2000 projectors, and the ones I find are 400+; expensive upgrade.
