i think this is my third failed injector. clearly, just seafoam isn't doing the trick. what's a good way to clean injectors out of the car, aside from sending them somewhere for cleaning?
i'm thinking about buying a cheap ultrasonic cleaner and pulsing them in a vat of seafoam or rubbing alcohol.

the question is why are you killing injectors. if your constantly clogging them then figure out what part of your fuel system is contaminating the injectors. could it be a old dirty fuel filter your neglecting to change? similar situation with the fuel pump strainer maybe? hell could easily be the fuel tank rusting from the inside out. ive had all three things cause problems with my injectors.

first one was on the first engine back in 2001, second one was somewhere between, this one just happened.. i think it has a lot more to do with age than anything.

so this isnt all on the same engine. that helps and hurts this situation at the same time. you need to fid out what these situations all have in common. is it the same number injector each time? possibly suggesting a bad connection in the wiring harness or something to that nature. these are the things you need to investigate at this point.

nah. everything's been changed out at some point or another. this is the third engine. new fuel filter somewhere after the second one died. different cylinder each time, i think. maybe #3 twice. either way the harness has been completely removed and cleaned up. i'm getting proper voltage at the dead injector. i honestly think this is more of a 20 year old injector problem than anything else.

I can't think of any way to clean them better than the fuel rail does already - I'd send 'em out, it's not that expensive, and then you know it's perfect.

im pretty sure there are fuel injector cleaning kits that hooks up to the fuel line with pressurized solvent, not those gasoline additives. not sure where you can find them though. another option is that you can send them here Fuel Injector Cleaning and Flow Testing - Fuelinjectorclinic (http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/services/clean-flowtesting.html) to get them cleaned.

recommended by rx7 people. here at least.

KGParts.com - Fuel Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services (http://kgparts.com/index.php?page=fuelinjectclean)

here's the direct site for their injector service.
http://injector-rehab.com/index.htm

$16/injector, they ship them back to you for free if you send in four, and will even take a video of the testing/cleaning if you're willing to pay for it.

KG Parts is good people.

I've used them 2-3 times with outstanding service, and great turn around time.
