Did some searching but well...

Swapped my S13 to 5-lug some months ago. I've also got Z32 brakes. What car can I source a spare tire from, that will fit in the well in the trunk?

^ he has z brakes so the s14 spare will probably only fit the rears. doubt it'll clear the fronts

Z32 is the way to go.

s14 spare won't clear unless you put spacer :ddog: but yeah don't think is a really good idea.

i have brembo brakes so i have evo spare.

A can of fix-a-flat... of course I usually have a small trailer with 4 spare tires when I drive to/from the track events ;)

s14 spare should fit. WHY? because s14 se wheels clear and jdm s14's have similar z32 brakes up front as well

^ are you certain that the USDM spare and JDM spare are identical?

Duh guys. S14 spare fits fine, it clears the Z brakes in Japan OE, so it would have to clear them here.

But, the Z32 spare is nice. The early TT model is aluminum. Hotness. Early NAs were steel but all were collapsible, they come with a bottle to inflate them which taking up way less room.

how about 4 luggers with Z32 brakes, would S14 4 lug spares clear.

No. But I have heard the S14 4lug will. I've never tried it though and can't say for certain, so verify for yourself before driving on one for 30 miles.

Bringing this back up, FYI style:

A Z32 spare fits the hubs, but doesn't really fit the spare well in the S13. That is, the tire sits in there fine, but it's taller laying down than the S13 spare, so the trunk floor has a hump in it.

HOWEVER - if you get a Z32 spare (the space-saver kind, where the tire is meant to be stored deflated), and it leaks air around the rim, you're screwed. I found one and it leaked, so I figured the bead on the rim was rusted, but two different tire places told me their removal machine couldn't remove this tire from the wheel, because of the shape of the sidewall.

Live and learn I guess. It took me several weeks to find this, and I'm going on a road-trip tomorrow, so I guess Fix-a-Flat here I come.

If you run anything over a 16, you are gonna be screwed with spares that fit in the spare area without upsetting the cargo area. Especially if you are lowered and/or slammed. I have a few sets of wheels that I run.

When I was in Italy, I mostly ran my stock wheels because of the road conditions (the highways were pretty good though) and carried an extra stock wheel just in case (wrapped with the same Perelli as the other 4).

not exactly. my buddy's s14 has z brakes up front and when he needed to use his s14 spare, it wouldnt clear the brakes. they were 30mm btw

i tried to buy some track edition z33 spare wheels since they are 17's and aluminum and they wanted to rape me for it. so i rock nothing... sigh which is so much worse. i wish i could find a s14 5lug spare at the least.

People still have spares? It takes me 80 pounds of gear to remove and replace a wheel.

For real. I used to keep a 2.5 ton low profile jack, 2 jack stands, extra wheel/tire, warning triangles, reflective vest, first aid kit, etc, ect. But that was because we had to have all of that stuff for the safety inspections and weekly vehicle inspection for my section. I even had the better part of my tools in the hatch also, lol.
