My SR has a bashed up oil pan and Im trying to decide if I should go with an OEM replacement or get the ISIS oil pan. I have a few ISIS parts already and Im satisfied with them but Im just seeing if anyone out there has a review on this oil pan. Thanks!

I'd much rather have an OEM one if you're going to be cheap about it.
If money isnt a big deal, and you're trying to do it right, look into quality. Tomei, Greddy, ARC, or Moroso all sell great oil pans (Personally I'm going with Moroso, you can't really argue with a company that does mainly oil pans)

Im buying tomei, i wouldnt trust knockoff parts for something that critical but i do give ISIS a thumbs up i believe their products are a notch above ebay knockoffs at least.

my r&d pan is awesome its tucked hella away from the ground, expecially for slammed dd's and track cars, it sits higher then my sway bars, i took a huge rock and i got out looked underneeth and saw my swaybar took the damage and my pan was 100% awesome.

I have an isis oil pan sitting here waiting to go on. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of it. I haven't actually tried bolting it up yet but my initial impressions are good. if you have to buy an oil pan anyways, I highly suggest getting a bigger one, the sr needs more oil capacity in my opinion. I also have the isis oil cooler waiting to go on and am really impressed with it.

It has baffles,it fits and is made from good materials, anyone who judges shit because it's not a moroso or greddy oil pan is just plain dumb. Just because something is more affordable than something with a name brand does not make it a bad part. I do not think Enjuku would risk the rep they have on something that is cheap ebay knockoff shit. Buy it,save some money, call it a day.
if your pan is going to break, it's going to break, regardless.
it's not like, if i hit rock #1 with the ISIS, it breaks
or if i hit rock #1 with a greddy, it breaks.

Isis oil pan = Freddy oil pan = shitty casting = porous surface = oil seeming through the cast aluminum pan and grainy, sand-like particles circulating throughout your engine.

I have the Greddy Oil Pan Love it has Fins to help Keep the Oil cool Does the ISIS have it? But i did Buy the ISIS intake Mani for the SR only thing Wrong with the Intake Mani was i couldnt get a 4th Bolt on to the IACV other than that it was Good Inside and out but for an Oil pan go with the A good One

i don't think there could be enough erosion in the oil pan for the oil to turn it into grain like particles.

if there were sandy particles in your oil pan then its a cleaning problem not a casting problem. its just like folks that have a block honed/bored and dont clean it before they install the crank/rods/pistons. ive seen that a couple times. if the pan had funk in it, it was there when you installed it, it didnt seep out of the metal. if it was in the metal it would stay there, but thats not how sandcasting works.

I have an ebay GReddy knockoff and have been using it since 2004. I believe the ISIS is like this one. Mine was no brand. Just came in a plain box that said SR20DET.
Anyways, I was a little worried because the casting looked iffy and its aluminum so its fragile. BUT I am happy to say that as of right now, It is still on my car and holding strong. Just so you guys get an idea of what its had to endure:
Its on a track car, gets lots of abuse
It was rubbing up against sway bar (I have a largus kit which is thick like a long elephant pipi) except I didnt realize it until I saw that the sway bar had worn itself into the oilpan. I mean it took tons of abuse.
I dont know if Im lucky with knockoff stuff, cause they seem to last longer than some brand name stuff I have, but I love this oil pan. I got another just in case because my current one was leaking a bit of oil through the bolt hole but was a very easy fix and have not needed to use the new one.
I dont necessarily condone buying knockoffs of original parts but if it means the difference between staying home or driving, Im driving
this is the car I've been using it on since 2004, if its held up for 5 years in this kind of abuse, it should be perfect for street cars...just file the edge down a bit if using uber thick sway bars like Largus

does the ISIS oil pan have two ports @ the bottom like the greddy? 1 for oil drain & 1 for oil temp gauge?
