The truck also has a leaking intake manifold gasket that needs to be fixed before it can be driven around. but it starts and runs fine. 98 extra cab chevy 1500 forrest green (all fenders pro. painted to match) with a 5.7 liter vortec, k&n filter, everything else is stock has about 150,000k on it but runs great, A/C, heater, CD, stock interior all in good shape and nothing rattles when driving. [daily driven] the front suspension (http://zilvia.net/f/#) is custom built by the original owner at his old shop. It cosists of dana 40 hubs and snouts bolted on with an 8 bolt pattern on the spindle . everything is .125 chromoly plate and is TIG welded, He was a certified for 6g chromoly. both the uniballs are vertical in the spindle and the steering is all 7/8 heims with 1 1/2 tubing for tie rods. the truck as very little bumps steering and cycles 19.5 inches of useable travel. I have jumped it and been to the desert twice and have not bottom it out yet, but it is not a stiff ride at all. it has fox 16" coilovers on the front and has room for a bypass. The rears has a 3/4 ton rearend on it with an auburn limitslip 4.56 gears and 2" wheel spacers. the rearend is fully trussed and has not givin me one thing to complain about, it hooks very wells and makes drifting very easy just throttle and go. The rear also has custom made leaf springs from North County springs and custom made shackles with 16" race runners, cycles 17" of travel. Has stock fuel tank and stock catts for smog reasons. also has a rack on top of the bedcage that is on pins so you can remove it easily which has a shovel and the jack handle mounted on it for quick remove. The bedcage sets the two spares vertical in the back with just enough room for the aluminum jack. The truck was used so it could be driven to any off road spot in comfort and drive into remote locations on the track and still carry 5 people, supplies, and be in ac at the same time.. :snoop:
