I was thinking either K-sport, JIC Magic, HKS, or tanabe. What would you recommend?

Look at it this way, if its cheap, its cheap for a reason. Granted some brands can be a little overpriced sometimes, but usually you can pick up a set of somewhat respectable coilovers from anywhere between $1200-$1500 if you're just getting into drifting.
PBM, BC, Silkroad, Stance, KTS, etc are some companies you may want to look into for starters.
Good luck with your research.

You could buy these from PEAK, I believe they come with higher spring rates.

Asking that question here will do nothing more than get you flamed.
Do a bit of research and you'll find everything you'll ever want to know about what suspension to use on your car at your skill level and in your price range.
But, to give you a bit of guidance, For a base level driver I'd say get a set of Megan Racing Coilovers or something like that so that when you're learning and you break them from hitting a curb, tree, pole, barrier, car, or other object, you're not out of some serious coin.
Or you could even rock a nice spring strut combo.

I have some K sports there the GT pro model and I absolutely love them and there actually expensive coils there great on track not going to lie not so great for DD way to stiff on the lowest setting it still feels like I am getting punched in the kidneys when I drive but overall there awesome.
i had ksports for 3 years. no problems.
