i just picked up my 180sx 2 weeks ago...i have cusco coilovers and a frnt strut tower. Just saved up another $1000 and have no idea what to spend it on. I;m thinking of doing a front moun ic but dk if i need it yet. Also thinking of buying a rear strut tower, 5 point racing harnesses, or roll cage. This is my first drift car that is not my daily but needs to stay streetleal bc i drive it everywhere haha. Anyone got an ideas on how to spend the $1000? All ideas welcome...

I second that. LSD, or beef up the drive train; fly wheel/clutch, drive shaft, rear diff. Something usefull. front mount, works too! You could go turbo-back exhaust, headers, mild cams. There are a number of directions, what do you want to improve first?

Get used coilovers and a clutch and weld the diff If you do it all yourself it can be done with 1000

learn to read "i have cusco coilovers"
just get a used lsd there is a nismo with axels for 5bills right now

^^^THAT^^^ and a good electronic boost controller. With the change you'll have, get a NISMO or Billion thermostat & some ebay-special subframe bushings.

Go through and make sure all the bushings are good.

i know the 180 comes with a beefier lsd than the 240 so im gonna stick to the stock one for the moment. Im gonna go with a greddy ls intercooler, greddy profec II boost controller, and I am also getting an alumnimum coolant tank. Next paycheck is going to the clutch, stage 1 or 2 not sure yet, but thats what the search is for :bow: . I kinda forgot to mention i hve an aftermarket downpipe and I hate that side mount so front mount and boost controller gets the win. Unless anyone has some last words before i place the order tomorrow.

yup the 180sx already cums with tha vlsd and sum decent brakes..go with

suspension: adjustable arms and rods
drivetrain: clutch flywheel etc

Some US S13s came with VLSD. So unless your 180SX has something like helical or clutch pack, the 180 won't be any different.

180SX stock LSD is a VLSD and not beneficial for drifting.. it's like a red-headed step child, buy a real LSD

you could have saved money and bought a manual boost controller and a gauge..

hey just an update, i bought a used kaaz 2way lsd and playing with that until i need something else... thanks for the input on the stock diff

since u got used change the diff fuild b4 u install it it will feel like new when she locks
