drove it around for a while, and the gas tank developed a leak, so as a temporary fix i used some jbweld. It worked for a while until i started to get more leaks, so i decided to bite the bullett and buy a new tank.

Thanks!! yea i herniated a disk in my lower back, pinched my sciatic nerve and fractured a lumbar. had surgery last week and have to wear a back brace for like 2 weeks....kinda sucks, but at least i can go on short term disability lol!!

its probably gonna be the last thing im going to paint, i have no clue what color to paint it. thing is that the car is going to be a "flat" color. it called "Gunsmoke metallic flatz" so overall flat with metallic in it. basically since the outside is flat i figured i might as well have eveything else "pop" color wise that is.

ditch the greddy manifold and put the stock one back on.

why? i figured that with the cams and the turbo it should make decent power.

Coming right the fuck along. I also have an engine bay with all -AN fittings and Aeroquip line, with a tucked/braided harness being put together. Interesting to see that people are gettin into it :)

Motor should be tons of fun up top with the BC 264's and the Greddy IM. 2871 will spool a little faster with the log-style mani, probably 4k rpm. With the head built, running it out to 8k shouldn't be a problem - look forward to more progress!

the EastBear Sigma seats are copies that i got as a gift. but the box they came in were marked Sigma, had the sigma logo. so i dunno, i know the actual EastBear seats cost a GRIP. and these were substantially cheaper, but the fit and finish seem really great, when i compared them to a friends fake Brides...sooo i dunno...anyways here are some more pics of them. they are currently mounted to Bride MO rails.

the power wire for that fuse block is fused. and so is the battery (relocated to the trunk)

The deal with the colors is that the car will be a Flat color, no NOT primer but actual paint with a flatening(sp?) agent, and its metallic....sooo...i figured since it will be flat...make everything else shine...lol....its all about the details....no more skipping shit....no more wasting money on garbage parts....yea there are some...but in time they will all be replaced with legit shit.....im about to completly strip the car in its
entirity, and build a dolly to put the car on to take it to a painter to have it painted.
anyone have any ideas about that? I may end up copying a design i saw on SHHHH!!NICO LOL!. but it leaves a lot of over hang in the rear of the car, and it uses small casters, i need something that i can load on a trailor...so if you got some ideas let me know.

Before that is done i want to mock up as much shit as i can.

the power wire for that fuse block is fused. and so is the battery (relocated to the trunk)

the reason i was using nissan relays is that i have tons of them. do you know the amprage of the brown SPST nissan relay? b/c i have lots of those as well.

For big power stuff, I use high-inrush-current SPST relays from McMaster Carr (lately they've been supplying relays and harnesses made by Hella *the legit lighting company* made in Spain, good stuff!) - they're rated at 70 amps continuous, 80A for 1-minute intervals! no i used my engine hoist on the front and 2 floor jacks (with some stacked 2x4's) for the rear. it was a PAIN in the ass to get it on that dam dolly.

yea i think its the lifters...they need bleeding....also clamps wernt tight on the intake pipe...no air filter...fuel pressure was a little off....well alot off..LOL timing needs to be set...n gas cap wasnt on...discoverd a small leak on the fuel pressure gauge...the list goes on..LOL!!

so im running into a little snag trying to bleed the lifters...prob b/c of lack of eperience...IDK....following the FSM it states submerge lifter in oil...using thin rod depress plunger until it STOPS moving...once it stops air is out...why the fuck wont the dam plunger stop moving!!!! so honestly i have no idea if they are bled completly...does the plunger have to stop moving???

dont use cardboard. it gets really messy and you wont like just something like those flexible plastic cutting boards if you making it with fiberglass or those wax paper cookie sheets. a lot easier to deal with

what you do is you just pump the lifter until you no longer see air bubbles coming out the lifter as you push the plunger in.

what i did was i took the lifters out and placed them in a pill bottle....filled the bottle with oil and used a small allen wrench to push the plunger to rid the lifter of oil. the FSM (AU S-14SR FSM) stated that the plunger would stop moving. apparently this isnt the case....what does stop moving it the tip of the lifter. i comfirmed that the lifter was bled by installing it in the head, then installing a rocker arm. if u apply pressure to the rocker you will see the lifter NOT move if its bled. so its isnt the "plunger" that stops moving its the actualy tip of the lifter.

so lifter are bled and installed went to put the cams in....and the number 2 exhaust cam cap hole decided to be a little bitch and all the fucken threads pulled out...lovely....just my fucken luck.....:bash::bash:

so i decided im tired of this shit!!!:smash: gonna buy another motor stick it in get the car running for now....take the old one out and take the head to a machine shop to see if it can be repaired...if not source another head...and build the PISS out of the motor...

does anyone have a solution to flare 3/16ths SS line, im needing to put in a 37 degree flare in it and i cant seem to get it to work.

whats happening is the tubing is being pushed down rather then being flared. also the die on the tool has also been damaged from the tubing. the tool it a summit racing peice..(POS!!!!) so do i need to get a special 37 degree flare tool for SS line?

also i read that i shouldnt be using a regual tuding cutter for SS tubing...somthing about cutting it cold n making the material super hard to flare.

do i just need to dtich the SS line infavor for regual steel brake line???

Well car FINALLY came back from the painted who ROYALLY FUCKED the paint up. So since i paid half up front, i am going to try to recoup as much back from them as possible in order to get it done again from another shop.

Finally got some front fenders fitment is decent, not the best but not the worst, took a bit of massaging to get them to fit, and will take a little more to get them to where i want them to be. Overall im happy with them though

From the surge tank to a DW In line 350 pump with -8 feed.

From there a "Y" to go from -8 to -6 to feed front and back of fuel rail, then a single -6 return to a Sard FPR then back to the Surge tank.

Mazworx VQ conversion started. This is with a JK41B from an 08 350Z

I cut it with an angle grinder (yes i used cut-off wheel designed for aluminum)

The Mazworx instructions say to cut 1/4" behind the rib, i actually cut right up to the line and it fit perfectly, just a minimal amount of clean up.
