He also had a custom burgandy paintjob, fender flares, s15 headlights, s15 taillights. volks, 3z brakes, tein coilovers, Basically it was an all show all go beast. It was sick. Till some hater decided to go n steal it from in front of his house. Thats messed up. Neways im jus waitin to see his new project once he decides wut he wants.

About the turbo KA, I have a friend of a friend with a turbo ka with a 50 shot of nitrous. I can try to get him to go to the meet. His dad owns a nissan shop, I can't recall the name of the shop right now.

i'd say just make it a 240sx/RX7 meet Version 2.0 from last meet. I got around lets say a dozen rx7 peeps coming to the meet already. Let's just keep it that way. I Don't want to see other carclubs at the meet cause i just want to hang with the regular old 240/rx7 peeps. but this is just my opinion.

I won't be able to make once again. I am down in san diego for about 2 more months. In that time I have to come up with $1G for school, and also find a place to live and work. So Ic an go to summer school at UCD. Gotta finish my last year.
Also I am working on my car, slowly but surely. I don't know about alot of you guys, but I am tired of RICE.. hehe if you get my drift. 240's are popular in S.D. and they are riced out like a mofo. Tired of that shiet.. I look at that car and see another honda. EEhhh to each his own I guess. But yeah.. I'll keep everyone in suspence till I get to meet you face to face. heh

yeah i'm suprised it got jacked too ... i was drooling over that car all day at import motion in sac. everything about it was soooo perfect, the wheels, the lights, how the color of the interior perfectly matched the paint.

I was thinking of meeting at Tapioca Express in Milpitas at 1:30. Then at 2:30 sharp we drive together to the meet in San Jose. But I think someone mentioned that there's a Tapioca Express in San Jose? So maybe meeting there would make more sense, 'cept I don't know where it's at. Someone *ahem*MrMigs* tell me. Or it doesn't have to be Tapioca Express. Could be anywhere.

hey guys, can't wait for the meet. i was just preparing and was gonna bring some food for the bbq, but since its gonna start like 3 or so then most people might have already had lunch and stuff.. so am not sure if i should bring food or not, which was the main thing for the meet is to have a eat and chat around. Since now am not gonna be spending my most my money on the food i'll be burning a few more cd's of option2 drifter vcd videos i got so i can sell them durning the meet. just look for the only hispanic guy other there! l8s

Heh... I'd rather you not use the meet as a blackmarket for your VCDs. I definitely hope you haven't announced to any other forums about what you plan to do at this meet. Set up a booth in SF Chinatown or something.

And there are at least two Hispanics who frequently go to 240SX meets. They were both at the one you went to.

Dan, since it might rain, I think you should hold off on getting food & whatnot for the BBQ... cus if it ends up raining, we should just go to D&B's. Might as well; its warm, next to the mall, and they have Initial D! :P

I never said I was getting food. :P

The problem with D&B is that not everyone is 21 or older. Normally there are meets at D&B because of the big parking lot and people just stay outside.

I was thinking that if it rains hard, we could move the meet to a multi-level parking lot at some mall, to hide from the rain. The only question is which mall isn't going to kick us out if we're just loitering in the parking lot structure?

Sodas will be provided. Food, I don't know. Never said there was going to be food but I think BJ was planning to have a BBQ. I don't know what's happening with that now though. Since the meet starts at 3:00, maybe a group of us should just go have dinner somewhere afterward.

Weather.com now says it'll be cloudy (instead of raining) on Saturday.

I hope you guys don't use this "roll call" to predict how many people will show up. In past meets we'd normally have maybe 5-10 people say they'll show up and end up having 30 or so cars show up. Most people don't post.

For this meet, like all the previous meets, I have no idea how many people will show up. I just know that at least a few will show up, and no matter how many people show up, I'm going to end up hanging out with just a few people anyway so it makes no difference to me if it ends up being a large meet or a small meet.

But I think we now have 80 or so people on the NorCal 240SX mailing list. So even if we assume that only 1/4 will show up, that's still a fairly good turnout.

Since my internet still isn't working, can someone remind the mailing list about the meet? Again it'll be at Lake Cunningham Park's parking lot A. Starts at 3:00 PM on April 26, which is this Saturday. Just forward my e-mail about the meet back to the list or something.

hey gotdrifts14 whats up. i was at the subie meet lastnight and i went to the undisclosed mt too. i was the passenger in the stock black WRX. the young guy with the black drift tech shirt. i heard there was some alignment problems with your car, have you had it checked yet? at any rate ill be at the meet with my friends, none of which have a 240 :D . so count me in for like 3 cars and 4 or 5 heads. oh yeah im down for meeting at tapioca ahead of time in fremont too.

well it appeared to be an alignment problem of some sort at first, but upon further inspection, it turned out that it was just the massive amounts of mud clumped inside my wheel spokes was throwing off my wheel balance, so the steering wheel would shake above 40 MPH. after we got rid of all the mud, the car drove like normal, i really lucked out this time! nothing appears to be broken, and i drove the car all day today with absolutely no sign of any problems. and i repaired my bumper with about 5 band aids. ok, see you all at the meet!!

I was the tall dude that owned the WRC looking Impreza, but rode in the M3 that you were following. We were going the speed limit, and then punched it, I guess right when we punched it, you went off. That sucks, but I'm glad your car is OK.

A word of advice however, nobody... and I mean NOBODY can hang with us on that road. Hahah... Well, virtually no one. It's a great road, and we take the time to head up there whenever we can. : )

yeah i was keeping up just fine until you guys decided to punch it, then i got p!ssed off at myself for falling so far behind, i just tried too hard i guess, trying to do things my car wasnt capable of (like go fast). and no i wasnt drifting. but yeah i guess i shouldnt beat myself up for not being able to hang with an E46 with a great driver. but i know a couple of the scooby guys there would be seeing my taillights on the downhill. ;)

that f*ck up was sorta uncharacteristic of my driving though, im normally really focused but i had never been so outclassed before so it got to me. oh well, it happens! $60k car vs ~$5k piece of junk on wheels = bad idea, haha.

hah, max is organizing a small mountain cruise for next month with some other ae86 guys, you could check him out there. he is definitly a very good drifter, or so i have heard from my friends who have seen him...

and btw, to those that like mt H******* have you been to H*******N? i love that place so much more than where we were at tues, and i think its a real place for a RWD car.

Yeah, don't worry, there were a few scoobs who would have been able to keep on Chris's M3's ass, as they were on the way up.. hell, one even had bald tires! (Like, bald as in, looking like slicks, and showing cords!). But yeah, we know that place very well, and we all have a lot of track days on our belts... The fastest time we recorded down Hamilton, all the way down to alum rock was 22mins, done by Chris... I have done 23mins... I'm not sure about the other guys. I held the record for quite some time... and I did it with bald AVS Sports... So yeah.

It was a saaad saaad day for Mike's car. Stupid van.

Overall, I had fun at the meet. I thought that it would be a total disaster but it turned out all right.

Pre-meet
We couldn't have the pre-meet at Tapioca Express because the entire parking lot in that plaza was full. We moved the pre-meet to the plaza across the street and luckily people coming to the pre-meet were able to find us. More people than I expected showed up. After some McDonald's and fries-in-exhaust fun, off we went to the main meet location at Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose.

Meet
On our way there, Mike's car got totalled by a van in stop-and-go traffic while exiting 101. Everyone who wasn't involved with the accident was told by the CHP to leave, so the rest of us went to the park and found out that there was a $5 entrance fee! Per car! Not only that, the entire Lot A was full! Park security said that it was because of Raging Waters. (Park security was wrong.) It turned out that it wasn't just Lot A that was full. It was Lot A, B, C, D, E... Every lot except for one, which we ended up having the meet at. Some kind of Indian festival or family reunion or something was going on at the park and the whole place was packed, except our area. Again, luckily people coming to the meet were able to find us. I was really surprised that we still had about 40 cars show up, despite the entrance fee and moved location. A lot of regulars showed up, a lot didn't, and again there was a lot of new faces. I hope there wasn't anyone who came and couldn't find us, because our guy from Japan was here. Everyone who showed up, thanks for showing up. You saved the meet! ^o^

Oh and happy anniversary to Jeff and Kate. =)

Post-meet
After the meet, a group of us (10 or so cars?) went for a scenic drive, a restroom break, and some more scenic drive. Then we went to yet another completely full parking lot - Milpitas Square. I thought our post-meet was done after TK Noodles so I went home. I was expecting Ken and Ben+Mike to show up so we can take Mike's car to Ben's house to take off all the aftermarket parts. So Ken showed up. Then BJ and Anthony and Koto and MrMigs, and Ben+Mike showed up. I guess the post-meet wasn't over... LOL. Mike's car was still drivable so we escorted it to Ben's house. I think BJ had to leave around that time. Koto and I ended up leaving at about 2 AM, and Mike, Ben, Ken, and MrMigs were still working on Mike's car. Poor car.

So ya. Too bad for Mike's car, but I hope the rest of you had a decent time. =)

I think next time we should have a little more structure for the meets. Yeah, the Lion Supermarket area is always packed during weekends. But I sorta thought that was a given. :P You can always park in the back though, if u keep going down that street between 76 and that Chinese Restaurant, there's a court, on the left side there's always compact parking available.

Milpitas Square usually picks up in business around noon and 6pm.

If you wanted to eat at TK Noodle, there's one over by RedLobster in Milpitas off Calaveras in Milpitas' Town Center.

That place is practically devoid of life!

If we have anyone that's 25 or over in attendance, they'd be able to help us bring in those that are 20 and under.

All in all, good meet, despite the accident and the "Far East Asian" gathering. :P

Let's meet again and take a scenic drive through Calaveras road in the early morning.

Great meet you guys. But once again my s13 wasn't there with its other cusions at the meet. Ohwel, Mike can voch for me that I really do have a s13 ^_^.. speaking of Mike, it ****in sucks what happen man, you should have been behind me when we were going to the park. No worries man, aslong as it wasn't your fault.. Pretty good turn out at the park, lots more SR's than last meet I think. Not as much but all good. It was tight to see a CA swap with a Silvia front end mad props there. Got to see the Demented Guys again, always love seeing their s13 and s14. Got my throwing up frog sticker from Migs which was a big plus! I guess the only problems from the meet was Mike's car, the cold wind around 5pm, and no smelly Ho's for Koto! I have been waiting for a drift event in Bay area for a long time, it's finally here now :D So I am 100% sure that I will be there. (no more driving to So.cal!!!)

And ya, the meet was great and all the ppl are so nice there! But the only thing that upset me is someone stole my whole box of latex gloves :eek: in my trunk while I opened it up for the soda. :(

I love the mountain cruise after the meet, but the road is just too bumpy, maybe next time we can try out some better roads. Anyway, it was so exciting to see so many 240sx going up together. After the drive, my rear brake pads are finally gone! Time for try out some other brand ;)

Glad everyone had a good time with the meet and their cars. Me I am ( Like usual) frustrated. Broke the bolt of the brake booster, where the Master Cylinder goes. Oh well, need to buy another one. Have a couple of things to say..

1) Koto.. Move to Oakland or National City in San Diego. No trouble for you to find smelly hoes.. Just hope your nose does not go numb and fall off. HAHAHAHA

2) Anybody selling their stock 240sx 17inch rims. Need 2 of them. I know they are 5-lug. But need for my car.

--------------------Anyway, here's the lowdown from what I know from the guys organizing it.

Some club4ag guys will be flying up and/or driving up from socal to supervise the entire event.

It's sponsored by Drift Association, LLC.

----No -official information- has been released on the drift event. However, there -will- be an official announcement AFTER Drift Day 5.

---General information that you should know applies to all drift days, basically tech inspection, make sure your car is in good condition. No cracks on the windshield, tape up your side markers and your brake lights and stuff like that, seatbelts have to be working, nothing loose or weird inside the car or in the trunk, basically clean your friggin' car!!! Wheel bearings should be in good condition, nothing loose inside the engine bay, and your battery should be tied down, no leaks of any sort, etc etc.

er here's an excerpt from dday 5.

Registration and Waiver Form
Proof of Payment (printed copy if paid on-line)
Your Car MUST be inspected for safety at the locations listed below.

At least 2 spare tires (no one will be allowed to run with "temporary spare" tires or tires with no tread left.

Brake pads should be more than 25% remaining or will fail tech.

Flush and bleed, and purge brake systems

Extra oil and radiator hoses (suggested)

Water

Working Jack and basic tools

Masking Tape, Duct Tape, and chalk

DOT - SA95, MA95 or newer rating approved helmet (driver and passenger) NO LOANER AVAILABLE

Remove floor mat, loose items, amps, and subwoofers.

Remove all hubcaps before entering track.

Make sure seatbelts are secure and all doors and openings are latched securely.

Preparation for wet weather is also suggested if forecasts warrant such climate. Event will be rain or shine.

Fire Extinguishers are nice to have in your paddock area

Just basically make sure you have a means of transportation to the event, and back home incase any accidents occur.

---As a reference, at a drift day not too long ago, someone got rear ended by some newb that didn't pay attention at the driver's meeting and didn't follow directions about giving the driver in front of him some space and courteousness, etc. -- So please, becareful on the course. Also, if you get in a wreck, or if someone hits you. Tough luck, you'll have to accept the damage and no one is at blame, even if the guy that hit you was a total turd. You signed a waiver, meaning no promises.

drift day 6 is an exhibition in the bay area to test the waters to see if it catches on. if it does, then more drift days in NorCal.

----Yes, you can go to the event to hang out, however, you'll probably have to pay a minimum fee of 5-10 bux to spectate.

Most likely drivers can bring one extra person for free as pit crew.

If youre going to bother spending money on a helmet I wouldnt get anything less than SA2000 so you can use it on tracks as well as at drift events.

i believe those helmets are motorcycle helmets, therefore Snell MA95 rated....pretty much every track will require an SA rated helmet, which is a little more expensive unfortunately. i did have a group buy going on for helmets last year, but it never happened since the majority of people backed out at the last minute and those who really needed a helmet got screwed out of a good deal. i doubt we can generate enough interest to get another helmet group buy going though....

after selling my Z32, i was seriously thinking about getting myself another S14, but then i decided to get something good. but seriously folks, it was either this or a G35, and the G35's were costing too much. the Scoob has been awesome, nice looking, quick, and comfy....but i still miss my dear S14. :(

aside from that, i'm still here wasting away in Stockton. oh, and the M30 is still hibernating in the driveway in hopes that i will someday bring it back to life.
