Hello, up for sale is non other than the (SuperMade, VIP Style) S13 featured on the cover of March 08's Modified Magazine. If you read the mag, then you already know a good deal about this car. Even prior to its magazine feature, it had garnered a lot of attention on the internet. Then after the feature, I noticed and received questions and comments from people across the world. The car was also later featured on Speed Hunters (http://speedhunters.com/archive/2008/06/06/car-feature-gt-gt-instant-gentleman-s13.aspx), making itself one of the most commented and viewed features on their online magazine/blog. On the road, it gets quite a bit of attention. On numerous occasions I've had people hang halfway out of their cars to take a picture. Another thing I've found amusing is that many people don't know what car it is and ask me. Bottom line, I invested an immeasurable amount of time and a ton of money into making this car a fresh, clean, and unique statement that is unmistakable for any other car on the road.
So, let's go over the major details of the chassis first:
I am the second owner of the car, but technically the 3rd. The original owners were a father and then his son, both from San Jose. The car has a clean title. The VIN# is JN1MS34P9MW003456 so you can feel free to carfax it. The car was bone stock when I got it in 2002, with about 81,000 miles on it. It is a base model, no power door locks/windows and no AC, just a lightweight performance minded chassis. No major accidents under the previous owner, just a minor fender bender that resulted in cosmetic damage. No accidents whatsoever under my ownership. The chassis has 117,XXX miles. In the past 3 years I've driven the car less than 4,000 miles. The body has original factory Nissan paint, gunmetal grey, color code KG2. Only the front end, side skirts, and rear bumper have been professionally repainted to match.
Since I took ownership, I've been slowly modifying it up to it's current state. Below you will find a full list of the modifications that are currently on the car. This is the same as the list published in Modified as I have not done anything else to the car since. The engine has about 80k on it and runs very strong and feels damn good. The tuned powerband is smooth and linear, very predictable and peaks at 250hp. There are NO mechanical problems on the car whatsoever. Just turn the key and drive off. The suspension is firm, handling is solid and just overall an easy, pleasure inducing car to drive. I just put in a new $120 battery as well. The tires still have a ton of tread left as I mentioned earlier, I haven't driven the car much in the past few years.
The only cons are mostly minor cosmetic details: A few small rock chips and dents here and there that are pretty much unavoidable, the roof is starting to show signs of oxidation, the dash is cracked (try finding one that isn't), the horn stopped working after I changed out the wheel (never use it anyway), and the right blinker blinks fast (doesn't really affect my driving, so I never bothered to fix it). The lips on the front rims also have a light stain on them that were there when I bought them from Japan. But I'm sure you could get it polished out, I just never bothered because no one really notices.
Aside from the small nuances, the car is in really good condition, especially for it's age. The car looks even more amazing in person than what the pictures on your screen can show you. I honestly wish I could keep the car, but I'm at a point in my life right now where I have to move on and unfortunately my circumstances won't allow me to continue on with the car. So, I'd love for it to go on to someone else who will give it a good home and appreciate it as much as I have.
