Hey guys. I know a lot of us on here on zilvia are not fathers yet. What are YOU doing for your dad tomorrow?

If you do have a kid/kids, what are you doing with them?

I'm taking my dad to a sashimi place he loves in Oxnard for a nice dinner.
Nothing fancy, just a nice family dinner.

No idea as of today. Today is my day, tomorow is his so it's cramped and I have no idea what me and my brother will get the pops.

I will wake up, brush my teeth and drive to VA with my girlfriend to meet her mother and stepfather.
We'll kick it a few hours, then I will come home and prepare for my week at work, perhaps stopping by a cookout my brother's friend is having and may still be ensconced in by the time we're back.

So that's the gift I guess, I got off easy this year.

Already spent $300 for mother's day brunch (wasn't that good food either).
Wish I could just get away cards, but they would just throw it back in my face.

just gonna go out to dinner. My dad is IMPOSSIBLE to buy for. Mainly because he NEVER waits long enough for any of us to buy him anything. So yeah probably just some nice steakhouse then back to my parents house where my dad and i will most likely watch The Godfather. I got him the deluxe dvd set a couple years ago and he always watches them on special occasions. Seriously, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Father's Day, and his birthday (which is the following week....lucky SOB hahaha), its always the godfather. The only other movie he'll tolerate on "his" day is "its a wonderful life". yeah....COMPLETELY different in EVERY way. That's my dad for ya. love that dude. lol

My dad tried to flake on us (his 4 kids) by saying he hates the "work" of hosting holidays (we all live apart, and come to him for holidays most of the time). So I offered to buy the food, and come to his place to grill it.

Then yesterday he called me and said he was buying the food, he felt bad... score!

So I gotta get up "early" (read: noon) to get my ass over there. Sigh. Time for bed.
