Yep... it's done!
Car died on December 18, 2002. I took it to the engine builder on December 27, 2002.
And here it is, April 9, 2003, and my engine is finally finished.
I am so stoked now!
Now, I have to get down there on Friday-ish, pick up the engine, and go install it. Woot!
Sadly.. it won't run after it's installed. I have my ecu programmed for 50# injectors, and my injectors aren't here. Ordered on 1-20-03, and 4-9-03 they still aren't here.
So... there it is! My engine is done!

What's the block good to?
Are you staying auto?
Still the same turbo?
Did you do anything to the head? Has it been flowbenched?
Congrats! I good friend of mine recently got his sr back together. Never seen a man with a happier look on his face.:D

The block should be good to 30psi or so. It's JE 8.5:1 pistons, Crower rods, balanced, shotpeened crank, Clevite bearings.
The auto is getting swapped. I have the pedals hung and the tranny and other parts laying around, waiting for the engine.
Same turbo... I finally found the specs on it.
t04b, s-trim compressor, O-trim turbine. .60 AR compressor, and .48 exhaust housings. Theoretically, it is a great match for what I want. 350rwhp at 18psi.
The head got a valve job, port matching, and some nice Ferrea valves.
And you're probably talking about Johnathan. We met up here in Tampa, and he is really happy about his SR. He just needs to fix the exhaust leak :D.

Congrats dude. That was a long time to build an engine though, don't you think? Good thing you're optomistic about it.

Glad to hear it man! I'm in the same position. I'm waiting for my CA18DET to arrive at the port so I can get the sucker swapped in.

LoL.... i was just about to ask if you wanted me to pick you up a stock ECU for now so at least you could drive the car to break it in :P I'm going to the yard to pick up your shifter console stuff tomorrow and I'll mail it out ASAP.
It feels really nice to have something show for all the credit card debt, though, doesn't it :D

I'm not gonna say their name, since they're giving me a hundred bucks to keep good customer service, but the 50# injectors were back-ordered for a miserably long time.
Thanks for the thoughts, Ace!

Where abouts did you get the crank? Custom job from an OE crank, or did you buy it as is? Asking cause I'm looking to possibly do the same thing (turbo my KA) but I gotta rebuild the bottom end of the engine first and foremost.
P.S. I know, my name doesn't fit anymore... hey Jeff, is there something you could do about that?

Just crankwork on the OEM crank. Check out my site if you need help or ideas for the turbo.
Also.. you'll need to talk to Mark about changing your name. Sorry.

But you're a super moderator...:(
Anywho, congrats on getting the engine done. I, as well as everyone else, would love to see some numbers from that beast. Thanks and best of luck!

Just cause we're super moderators doesn't give us supreme power over the forum :). We just get to move threads, lol
Btw, I love the intro on your site Jeff.
