VLSD output shafts

I think i got them mixed up but just want to clarify, which shaft goes to which side. Right now i have the short one away from the big gear and the long output shaft next to the big gear. (NOTE: this is a vlsd but it shouldnt matter) Short one goes in, long one doesnt. Do i have it mixed up or should i hit harder? thanks

Thats how i have it now, is that the correct sides or do i have them flipped around

The longer shaft goes on the US passenger side.

I have the same situation, with a vksd from a s14 , thanks for thsi information, i gonna put this on a s13 diferential

Also make sure you have the correct shafts that go with that particular diff, there are about 6 different length/spline configuration shafts that all vary in how well they fit.
