I am planning to get a 240SX in the next week or so and i was wondering what you guys think. Would you recommend me getting a cheaper 240 with alot of miles on it and do a engine swap with either a SR or KAT, or would you suggest getting like a 96/97 with less miles - drive it for awhile and when i start getting engine problems then do the swap.
Basically: A 94 240 with 125+ miles -- as soon as i get it to a swap or/ Like a 96/97 with less then 65k miles and when i get engine trouble then do the swap?
Thanx

Do some budgeting... figure out what you have to spend, and what your goals are with the car.
then SEARCH, and read all about the benefits of the SR and KA and KAT, and mate that to YOUR life situation, and make a decision.
Your questions generality says to me that you know next to nothing about the car, or it's abilities, or its options. You will be better able to make an informed decision READing and THINKing on your own here...
Don't take this as a Flame.. more as "constructive re-direction."

i have already thought about what exactly i want to do to the car, and i have done a lot of research about the SR engine and been to alot of sites that deal with SR swaps. Its just that i dont exactly know when i should do the swap, early in the process or later. But thanx for the suggestion sykikchimp

ok, so do you wanna do an SR swap or turbo your KA?
SR = buy High mileage car
KAT = low milage late model
edit - maybe I just don't fully understand your question and what you looking for as an answer..
